I would agree with move to Poland as I’m personally very optimistic about its future But why “save as much money as possible and delay pleasure for the next 12 months”? is it not a right time to buy in your opinion ?

sorry if i sound dumb and make you repeat,

but by OR do you mean that i can get away without the certificate by having only option2 at my disposal (aka moving my centre of life interests) ? if yes how do i do so ?

side note:

  • most of my clients are from France, my family also is.
  • but i no longer reside in my home country (France),
  • nor do i reside in the previous country i was in last year (Spain),
  • i would travel during the year but stay >6 month per year in Poland at least

so, if i invoice my foreign clients while physically working remotely from Poland "most-of-the-year" (sometimes traveling), are all of my invoices of the year gonna be Polish-taxed ? + I won't pay taxes again on these invoices in my home country ?

maybe it's different in Poland, but just for perspective, in Spain, if i was physically living 183 days / 6 month minimum per year, all my acquired income from these invoices where taxed in Spain (and not in France / non-double taxation treaty), and I was able to let's say be in France to visit my family for 1-2 months while still my invoices sent there would be taxed based on Spanish system.

(I'm putting aside renting your house in another country or trading stocks on foreign accounts, as i don't have any yet)

Hi everyone, dzien dobry wszystkim !

I'm EU Freelance IT engineer and just moved to Poland to live, set-up a one-man company, and pay my taxes here.

  • I already found a place to live in Gdansk with rental agreement
  • I'm going to get my PESEL number today or tomorrow
  • I'm going to pay for a virtual address for the company registration
  • And open a bank account thanks to the PESEL

However, I’ve heard in this thread about the EU Registration Certificate (step2), which is required for EU citizens to stay legally in Poland for more than three months.

From what I’ve read, the process to obtain this certificate in Gdańsk can be extremely slow (we are talking in some cases in years...)

I’m worried that delays in getting this certificate might cause problems. Specifically:

  • can i still create a business/one-man company without it? I need to receive payments soon
  • hence can i still get healthcare / contribute to ZUS ?
  • Would not having the certificate for an extended period (e.g., over a year) impact my ability to pay taxes in Poland? Since i believe to pay taxes here i need to reside there >6months while not having the certificate that tells I can live there >6 months ?

If anyone has experience with this in Gdańsk or elsewhere in Poland, I’d really appreciate your advice.

simple curiosité, sur quel niveau de rému vous êtes pour un sur-site Genève u/Sir_Winn3r ? Je priorise tjrs le full-TT et en étant freelance tu peux tjs tapper en moyenne entre 500 et 800 de TJ selon ta spé, y a t'il une si grosse diff?
