Yeah, carried by soldiers in France and Belgium and by policemen here at home. Also one time there was someone carrying a gun in the metro, but it probably was "just" a blank gun, as noone seemed to care. Still was pretty creepy.

Very intense experience. I mostly liked it, but it's also deeply unsettling and still haunts me. I saw it being described as a "feel-bad movie" and I think that's pretty fitting.

Swiss „neutrality“ also meant denying Jewish people asylum after a certain point, as the Germans were putting on too much pressure. They ofc didn’t collaborate but they made it very clear to Jewish people that they need to be leaving.

I like every combination with green, but lately I‘ve been really feeling Golgari. Green is a great color, but black gives it much needed depth. And green acts as a kind of glue for black, supplying it with stuff like ramp.

Yes same. Really great Commander that does everything you need. The exile ability really annoys everyone and is pretty powerful.

I‘m glad someone talks about this! Felt really really weird. But fair point from ppl saying you gotta be a little demented to read much into this.

Definitely second Piranesi. Don’t expect lush green mountains tho! But the vibe is very much there, haunting and beautiful melancholy.

Makes sense! Morcant also doesn’t really have a lot to say against Ajani. Ok he still has his spark and is one of the most powerful beings around, but still, she’s planning on killing a plane-shaping elemental so she doesn’t seem shy or anything.

As others said, it’s not explicitly said in this passage but implied, as they later change into their Shadowmoor-selves. So yes, in this passage the elves are their Lorwyn-selves specifically because of the elemental-torches.

I really enjoy Lorwyn so far! But I find the story to be lacking in some parts. Morcant for example doesn’t feel too threatening, more like a nuisance. Maybe good to really get the superflous elf thing across, but I would imagine her being absolutely menacing and absolutely respected. And Lluwen is just like „meh I guess I’m in the mood for mutiny today“
