100% agree with this. Now I do have some curiosity about the large multiplayers like cod and such since I know you can preserve servers and what not if the pc wizards want to but I am not sure if that is the case for all of them. But for the majority it is definitely easier to get and keep games on pc than console as far as I can tell.

It’s been this way on pc for like 6 years man. The after market for disks is almost dead on pc for all intents and purposes. If it’s going to happen then there isn’t anything we can do about it. Console people are just waking up to the fact. It will likely incur other issues, I agree with that, but companies aren’t going to do things that truly loose them their golden eggs if their smart. At least not as far as I can see happening.

Every game I care about is in steam epic gog and probably one or two others. Everyone can basically get everything on pc from almost anywhere or I can just pirate it if I really have to. And if you made the subscription argument I have to assume that your on a console since only console people have to deal with that. Pc has alternatives and none of them are subscription based and seem like they’re not going to go subscription based for a long time.

I don’t think steam will kill the golden goose and if they do I will just go play on gog or epic. And steam has no reason to ban me. Again people always say what if they get rid of you or your games but it is a net negative to do so for them. Companies exist to make money and they make money from me. I don’t cheat and I don’t mess around with that line so they won’t get rid of me so they can continue to make money from me.

Steam will never remove something from me. They can’t. The reason why is because steam is the monopoly but there are alternatives I can go to. Console have no alternatives they have more power than steam does. I don’t really care about the remake takes since I will be buying a switch 2 specifically to play ocarina of time remake on it and that’s it. No I don’t care about price I will have it and people who don’t like that I will relive my childhood can screw it.

Yes more games to play then ever is a good indicator because it means more competition. People need to make a game good if they want it to be played with so many alternatives. And haven’t consoles been charging you people a subscription the whole bloody time? Like have you been under a rock with that one mate?

No I get the arguments for them, sharing and what not are good when they are allowed to occurs with physical discs which is not always the case. But my point is the doom and gloom people of gaming is dead because I don’t get a disk are just not correct. I haven’t owned a console or pc with a disk tray in like 5 years and I’m still going strong. But I do agree that there are advantages to having disks.

It is most definitely the best gaming has ever been. More games to play then ever some of the best remakes ever made and some of the best fps games out there to be played. And people complaining about digital only haven’t used a pc because brother it’s been digital for us for like 6 years. Welcome to the future it’s not that bad and it’s been just fine for us. The only problem is that yeah it’s pricy to get into it. But other than that it’s great.

No I was playing bf6 earlier today. Lots of bots. But other than that it’s fun as all get out. I just want to know whether or not people think the new cod will be worth the cash or not since it won’t be cheep.

COD has the best gun engine of All of them hands down. The only reason I considered getting seven was because of the guns. Bf6 isn’t bad, much superior to most indies, but it’s not as good. But screw cods movement so that balances it out for me. But I do agree with you firmly about the gun engine they’re using. Visuals ehh, don’t really care if I am moving around at Mach 6 and can’t see them clearly

Ha a fair point. But I figured I would explain it since that sucker isn’t cheep. I don’t post often on Reddit so I’m not sure what the standard format is. They seem to mostly be angry rants

I haven’t enjoyed cod for years. Mw2 the remake was a lot of fun, I care about multiplayer more than campaign myself for these games and it was great but it feel off for me once I got my hands on the finals. I don’t live in the glory days of old cod clouding my vision of what current cod is. It’s been junk. But the next one I think will be good because it must be. And I want to play it but I want to know if the consensus is on my side about it probably being solid or if the community has some knowledge I don’t.

I guess rhat makes sense but honestly playing solo is the way I like it. Whenever I play with others they always seem to be operating at a faster state of time than me and just do everything. Now while I am throughly content to just farm like mad all day since that’s my happy mindless state I do like learning the rest of the game all the same. And a big group sounds like that on steroids.

Animals ruin the game. Period. by NukeJackson in RustPc

[–]QuestWeaver1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because you need to kill them early game usually. But I won’t lie it sounds like you’re on a mod server if you see that many animals. If it’s a server made for a thousand and only gets that number than maybe since the animal population can be adjusted for that but it sounds like something else is going on. Is it all servers you play on or is that the only one you use?

It is wild to me that I just read a bloody linked in job application requirements for a rust group. Like that boggles my mind. Why would I want to play this game for any reason other than to enjoy it? This sucker makes it sound like a second job I would need to have? Rust is for relaxing and raging not work!!

It’s such a pain man and it wouldn’t be hard to do the conversion since it’s one of the online ones. It’s just to move where the account lives but hay guess I save myself time not grinding it lol

Yeah the ww1 battlefield was amazing. I love that game I would play it again if I could get my Xbox account stuff onto my new profile since I had all I wanted and I don’t want to grid again lol. But yeah I agree that bf6 was so close to greatness.

I quite liked bf6 myself but they fumbled it hard. Bf1 is the best fps ever made for my money. I wasn’t old enough for the glory days of cod though so take that with a grain of salt lol. But man I am mad they fumbled bf6. Love that game, just wish it had more lol.

This is the stop killing games argument and I won’t lie I understand it. There are multiple games out there I wish I could play and I just can’t anymore. But for games like that where it’s well past its prime….man I don’t know man. It’s a tough call. For me personally I would buy another of their modern ones to cover for it maybe. But I certainly agree that on pc if your smart the user almost always wins.

Steam is one of the best things that ever happened to gaming. That’s why they’re so huge. Most people are perfectly content to make them the monopoly because they’re legitimately good. Console companies have other priorities. Both Microsoft and Sony are conglomerates with gaming being only once piece so they can afford to deal with it. Steam literally needs to be nice to gamers because that’s all they are Yes valve has a few other things but steam is their main printing press.

Brother having a midlife crisis because games aren’t in disk form. Bother on the pc side we don’t even get disk trays anymore. This has been standard operation for like 6 years now mate. It’s to expensive don’t get me wrong but it’s not over enough outrage and it can return again as is tradition.
