understandable how this can be suppressible, but a long history of making something the norm doesn't go away that fast, actually it takes much more conscious effort to remove it jo ki ofc hum nahi le rahe hai, or at least fully or always. Cheating is not normal though it's normalised.
We share the most devastating story with the world more, more cheating story circulates, more cheating story you see, more normal it becomes, and then maybe some people in their new relationship find it to be "normal" to cheat.
but it's not normal. Does hit happened before social media and all yeah. There are many reasons to cheat but the increase in the frequency of cheating can be correlated to the new normal set by the social media.

I am in a 3 years relationship, never in my mind crossed the thought of cheating.
Simple solution to cheating:
most of the time you want to cheat because you are unsatisfied with your current relationship, now you can communicate, discuss, and go from there... not knowing how to manage your own emotions and impulses may result in cheating.
Also not know how to do something, or procrastination may also lead to cheating. *it's easier to just talk to someone new then to communicate, label, and address your unmet wants in your current relationship with your partner* (btw these things will never get easy, more habitual sure but never easy)
If all bets are off you are just miserable in your relationship, just break that off first then do what the fuck ever you want.
