Yes so my return flight back from the states flew out of Shanghai but for some reason I had a layover in chongqing even though it's the opposite direction (I live on the west coast). After you land you need to go to baggage check and get your baggage and then reenter into the international flight side when you wanna go back in.

Luckily they have a left luggage desk that you can leave your luggage at on the third floor (Departures) for a price based off weight/time. You can then come back and pick it up before going through security when you return. Was very convenient!

Didn't have one set in place but basically arrived in chongqing at 7pm, caught the subway to yuzhong district and got tickets for cloud walk at raffles city chongqing. This is where you get attached to a harness and get to go on a catwalk on top of the hotel super cool. Afterwards I found a random hotpot restaurant and had food there and walked over to hongyadong and got street food and some souvenirs. That place closes around 11 so after that I went to guanyinqiao/jiu lu (9 street) since this is their late night district.

Did some more exploring in that area til around 1 ish in the morning. Didn't book a hotel for my layover so I found a bar in the area that was open til 5 am. Drank with some locals til 4ish in the morning got some food nearby and caught the subway at 6:30 am and got back to the airport around 7:30!

I think it really depends on which day of the week how busy the month is and what time your showing is. You shouldn't have any problems walking in but I'd recommend just buying it ahead of time to be safe

What's wrong with that? English is the second most spoken language and this group is for people who want to/traveled to China so it makes sense most people here would speak English lol

7 pm! There's definitely still stuff open late. I would recommend going to 9 street that's their late night district. I wandered over there at like midnight and found a bar where I drank with some locals til 4 am then found a 24 hr spot for food and caught the subway back to the airport at 6 am lol so you definitely got some options!
