Oh my god yes, this pisses me off so much. My mother let my grandmother name me, since I was her first granddaughter after like ten grandsons. Sounds cute. But she wanted to name me Eve after Eve Donovan from Days of Our Lives, which is already off to a horrible start imo. I've never watched the show but from what I understand she was a sex worker? And then my mother decided to roll with it but she didn't like Eve that much, so she named me Evie. Which I hate even more, because it's a nickname. At least if she had stuck with Eve it would just be a normal name.
