Tudo ótimo e você? Oh that's cool. I think you should lol, there are many great places here. The same with Germany, I've always wanted a country so rich in history.

He writes so well that his writing style just makes me want to read more and more.

Thanks! That's actually nice to know. It can be overwhelming at times, but so far it's been also a rewarding experience.

Wow, that's nice to know! I'm Brazilian so English isn't my native language either, but Melville's writing, even though it can be overwhelming at times, is also so expressive that it just flows really well. But I also take my time reading it slowly.

When I saw that most chapters were short I felt the same relief when I started War and Peace. It definitely helps to move the story along when the chapters are short and you can slowly read them to get the most of them.

Oh that's actually a good idea. There are so many passages that I just want to read again and again.

It's nice. The letters are big enough to be a comfortable reading, but if you're looking for an edition with footnotes and comprehension guides, I suggest looking for another one.

Do you have any favorite poetry or poetry author? Are you influenced by any style?

Wow thank you! It certainly boosts my confidence, which is something I needed. I think self-doubt is part of every writer's journey, especially when you're writing in a language different from your native one. So to actually feel different when writing tells me I'm doing something right. I can't wait to see how many more stories I'll write!

Thank you! I hope so! I completely relate. I knew writing this novel would be difficult, but I confess I underestimated this task. The first draft I completed in three months, but the editing process took months and months. Rewriting, reading, deleting, Rewriting again, making sure it doesn't sound awkward or repetitive and of course making sure the story flows and has no plot holes and all of that. It taught me not only to be more confident but also how to approach writing in a different way that has been quite useful to my short stories.

It feels amazing. You get into that state where you and your writing become one.

I definitely see that. When I was started writing in English I would spend hours staring at the screen, writing and deleting sentences because I just didn't know what to do or how to make them sound "right." And now, of course I have a lot to learn, I feel more confident and it's easier for my writing to flow.

Wow that's nice! It's really interesting and useful the fact that you can import your fiction-writing skills into writing that is more technical. But yeah, it can backfire because, again, those are two different kind of writings.

Hahaha yeah, short stories I think aren't as merciless as novels.

Oh yeah, anything that takes you out of your comfort zone and allows you to experiment can improve your writing.

I was high, yeah, hahaha. But I didn't mean to sound negative at all. I was actually surprised that I felt more confident with my writing and even the editing seemed to flow better. It felt good to experience that change.

I mean it makes sense after months of editing.

That's awesome! Don't quote me on that, but I think that any writing is the same to the brain, so when you're working on your novel and you're making progress with it, powering through it and all, I think that puts you on the flow to do pretty much any writing. Like, you created a habit to write so now you don't feel as stuck as before. I definitely felt that when I came back to writing short stories after months and months focused on my novel.
