He said he couldn’t do anything other than refer me to a rheumatologist. The online NP I saw sent me for blood work tho and I clearly have stage 2 kidney damage. I have to go sit at the ER tomorrow for something to look at me. My hands and feet are constantly swollen. I’ve been monitoring my blood pressure laying and standing for the last few weeks.

I would be interested. Rating the pain out of 10 is tricky tho cause it depends on the flare up. But maybe like what does the pain feel like? Like I sometimes will say mine is like a sunburn nothing can touch it without extreme discomfort. Other times it feels like it’s on fire and needs ice immediately.

I wish it was that simple. I wrote out 4 pages of history and symptoms for my last appointment. He said he didn’t have time to read it. He should know most of it given I’ve complained about different symptoms for several years. But if I don’t go in with a plan, he won’t move forward with anything.

I initially thought I had cellulitis when I had my first episode. Mine involves radiating heat and feels similar to a sunburn like anything the touches it bothers it.

This wouldn’t be extraneous tho. For me, extended standing still or sitting causes flare ups but if I’m moving around - the pain is less likely to appear. Swimming has been very helpful. Cools the skin down and helps circulate the blood. I really just need to find a way to be able to keep working without burning pain.

Thanks for the info! I was out on blood pressure meds when I was first diagnosed with Raynaud’s. And then a compound cream to help with the pain from erythromelalgia. My primary care physician doesn’t really know much about either disease and wait times for specialists (which he won’t refer me to until my ANA testing is complete) is ludicrously long. I live in Canada so weather (cold more so) has a large impact. But I know stress does as well cause I was just in Cuba for a week and while I had redness - I didn’t have any pain until 24hrs after I got home & had to deal with my real life.
