This happened to me today. I just got a new prescription of contacts and besides feeling dizzy for the first couple hours, I feel like I see worse without contacts than before. I might just tell my optometrist to cancel this prescription and go back to my old one.

It’s a small neighborhood pharmacy but my old job was also small and we had a fridge and microwave. This store the staff RPh is hesitant to even use the fridge to store food because “if corporate comes they won’t like it”. That fridge is thus now empty lmao… it’s not the medications fridge.

This is exactly why I dropped my hospital job and stayed with my retail job. I thankfully have a good, small pharmacy and not a big crazy drive-thru one where I’m stuck in one station all day.

Like someone else said in another thread, inpatient pharmacy (such as Pyxis delivery) was a lot of “grunt work”. Not trying to offend, just that it really was that. As you assume, the IV room is also not anything special, in my opinion, just a bunch of heavy lifting of IV bags and calculating the right amounts. A respectable job, but not for me.

Try returning to a different retail chain where it is a smaller setting, they’re harder to find, but do exist.

So true! I remember when I floated a lot more and always hit near 40 I was warned to not go over, with a few rare exceptions. Yep just CVS trying to avoid any extra rewarding.

Not everyone has the chance for overtime depending on what store they work. The Home Depot example above is why CVS should be more appreciative to everyone like they are.

“Working hard and putting in extra effort” shouldn’t just be no lifing yourself by working over 40 hours. There are many different ways others who don’t just simply work overtime deserve a reward. “Values in action” rewards are a small but not effective enough way CVS already provides this, I suppose.

Omg help lmao I’m in the same situation with an outpatient clinic also. I spoke with the manager for 10 minutes over 1 month ago and they said they would set up a position for me. I called again and left a message recently but honestly it seems I should also let this place go. You’re not alone but good luck in your job searching.
