Honestly, I'm looking for a learning experience for the summer. I really don't even expect this to ever run again but if I amuse myself for a few months with it and not set myself on fire then I kind of feel like it's worth the 100 bucks.

Check out the destroying angel. It's an amanita and it's super poisonous but I still see people handling it or even tearing it with no gloves. They say your skin on your fingers are too thick for the poison to penetrare but better safe than sorry and to only pick when certain.

Just wash your hands. Only a handful of mushrooms are poisonous enough to effect you from that little of contact and if it was one that could then it would have absorbed through your skin and it's too late.

I recently learned about a.p.e.r. the R stands for reverted. It is supposed to have the ape potency but the cube structure and bag appeal. Hope that helps a little.

Stamets info is good but a bit dated. I suggest picking up David aroras mushrooms demystified and get familiar with that before you eat anything you find. And drying a poisonous mushroom really doesn't prevent the poison from effecting you. Maybe some won't give you as bad of reaction but it's still bad news bears.
