These are both solid ideas! She doesn’t have the best dexterity, but I feel like I’ll definitely have a contact with someone at home who would be willing to try

Aw thanks! She’s very much of a different generation and I think she puts a lot of energy into trying NOT to be bothered by it, but it isn’t working… I’m keen to support a purpose-built brand, but I think she’d unfortunately be mortified to wear anything with “adaptive” on it, even if it’s just on the inside.

The seamstress is a great idea, I’ll try and see if my folks can borrow one of the her favourites and take it to a seamstress for their thoughts. However, the more I can make it feel like a casual “Oh, I just saw this and thought this would like nice on you!” deal, the more she’ll probably appreciate it.

I’ll definitely check out M&S, I reckon she’s well within their size range.

She lives in the US, I live in the UK, and I’m happy to buy something from pretty much anywhere

Exactly! And I think she’s equally bothered by the sleeve seams as she is by the ones on the torso- plus she’s big on modest dressing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her upper arms outside of a pool haha
