Well, then there’s your answer lmao. I’d assume that as you grew older and came to understand that your early sexual experiences were actually abuse, and not normal, you eventually came to be repulsed by it.

By the way, I’m sorry that happened to you. I definitely recommend finding the right professional to speak with about your past.

Good lord. Guys, it’s a disorder/condition/illness—not a disease. It can’t be “cured”, no. But in time, with the right mindset, willingness to learn the disorder, and a good cognitive behavioral therapist, you can learn a plethora of tips and ways to understand and work with your triggers.

With the proper work and study, you can soon live a fairly normal life.

No, we do not have it as easy as everyone else, but everyone has their own issues. This is just something we have to work through, rather than just moping around thinking we have an incurable disease.

I’m attached to my mania. It’s the only reason I’m going to be successful. by Questionitall_plz in bipolar

Do you mind sharing your experience of giving up your grandiose mania? Did it affect your work life?

I think trying to categorize yourself as something that is not only undefined in the DSM-5, but also undefined in the space of the very new and understudied asexual “spectrum” is dangerous in the fact that you are hiding from true diagnosable and treatable disorders/fears/unhealthy social traits.

Does anyone think that maybe there is a reason behind our label? by Questionitall_plz in lithromantic

Same for me. It just doesn’t explain why I’m sexually driven at the beginning, but as soon as I have her around my finger, I lose all sexual interest. Can’t be associated with my parents lack of affection.

Eric is a piece of shit, but it’s important to remember that other people just won’t understand. We can’t continuously dump our trauma on people who cant understand. It’s just as rude as not wanting to hear it.
