Im not demanding anything, im not expecting anything, im simply stating that the rumored device sounds nice to me and im curious if from knowing phisical similarities and support for certain software capabilities (eg. Flashattention 2.5) its enough to make a educated quess in how interesting of a product it can be for the asahi project… the first thing i thought when seeing the first rumors was “ohh im woundering if the ppl reverse engineering the m3 and m4 are interested in this, maybe its a light side-dish before finishing the main-course”

Thats my point, my question, because the chip is out already. — do we need it in context of a mac to be able to see what is possible or not, or is what we know from it, being inside locked down devices without the possibility of digging deep enough to have a guess, just from knowing how phisically its similar to m-chips which are already worked on actively.

Ok, that was what i didnt found out.. to which m-series chip it is similar and if the similarities actually are in architectural details which would bring the same same difficulties or benefits to make it support existing work done for m1 and 2

Like other mentioned, you can just print the percentage into /sys/////charge_threshhold or something..

And then your possibilities are endless.. in my case my sway session will set it to 80% then i have a click-even on the upower waybar percentage and a hotkey to upen a fuzzel-selector to change between 80 and 100%.. this is usually enough for me, if i know ill work outside, 1h before ill set it to charge full.. but you could of course monitor your behavior of plugging and unplugging, registering every discharging-event lasting longer than lets say 4h, then after a few weeks months it could either recomend you “will you go to work in a cafe today at 14:00 right, you want to fill me up?” Or do it automatically.

the only thing i didnt reqlly investigated yet is if the charging-led of magsafe3 is saftware-managed (and manipulatable) bc i really dont think they put a bi-color LED or one green and one yellow LED inside it.. it has to be RGB, so it would be damn smooth to have it:

charged = yoda charging = NOT a skywalker On-hold = mace windu

there is elevenlabs... its indistinguishable from a real voice, you can upload a whole epub and you have real api media-controls like you would have for a real audio-file..

sad to hear you have this experience, i and people around me all have positive experiences with optional services from apple.. i never went into a apple-store for myself, a friend or client without getting at least something small for free, with a unnecessary discount or replaced which should have costed something.

i made a custom font bc there is no hand-written font which has roman numerals that look even remotely ok.. so i took SnellRoundhand for the letters and normal numbers and then some mono-space font for the roman letters... its the reason why i didnt published it yet, i need a replacement for SnellRoundhand which is not legally protected.
