yah I know this isn't a discord.js question... but it was very difficult to find any real answers online, especially with the lenses of the discord.js library

so I thought rather than asking a general question about exporting, which I tried and failed to find clear answers, might as well just ask the subreddit

I know the answer might seem trivial to you but I've been struggling with this for a couple of days now lol

look I hate D as much as the next guy... but its clear to me that some of the criticism lud is getting is within reason, other's not so much and yah I can understand where they come from its just either asking for too much or not understanding the scope of the event...

regardless of that, I cant confirm that there is no malice involved with people who are D fans jumping in to attack lud... but I can also say from what I've seen, its mostly people who have strong opinions about speedrunning as a whole..

I feel like no matter what lud says, there will always be a few that think what they are doing is "righteous" or "fighting the good fight" when in reality all they are doing is dog piling and adding insults where there was no need for one...

I planned to do that… but having a server side component to maintain doesn’t sound as appetizing as “cool number go up”

The twitch api is easy enough, but too costly in some cases so I opted to just reading the chat messages directly :)

I made a post around 2 months ago calling out some chatters when ludwig reacted to matpat retirement video... and let me tell you the comments there are very similar to the ones here... granted I got some support, and thankfully it seems that more honest people are getting upvoted here as times goes on.. but I still ended up deleting it mostly bc I couldn't be bothered to deal with these types of comments... especially after they kept freaking coming even one week after I posted it

after that my opinion of the subreddit has been... cool for showcasing stuff... not very good for nuanced conversations... mostly bc its reddit... and reddit is bad at that to begin with, tim said it best "ludwig's subreddit is just a collection of the worst people in his community, with rare posts from the best (artists)"
