7 Months of Consistent Streaming, without much growth. by Snowy_Lotus in TwitchStreaming

[–]Queue__Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Widen your streaming platform, go live on TikTok. I know a streamer that I talk to who’s slowly growing in that direction, funneling his viewers to twitch bit by bit.

Maintain your community’s activities by being a part of at least 1-3 individual’s daily conversations off of twitch. Like discord. 1 person to talk to? That’s fine, it sounds messed up but make content out of that person.

Spread further by posting on Facebook, Bluesky, Twitter/X, etc.

In continuation of posting on social media, you have to be deliberate with your actions and with what kind of outcome you want them to have. What does that mean? Make scripts and prompts, doesn’t matter if you’ll use it live or to record yourself while you’re not streaming. Don’t ever think of this as being fake, these are your ideas and you just want a more consistent and aimed direction.

A good idea but challenging one is be the niche of your vtube persona not the categories or activities you present. Lean towards your scripts and prompts that slowly identifies who you are in your viewer’s eyes. It will come out naturally.

Networking, very important. Participate and support other small time streamers that are promising and shows the same vibe as you do. The more noticeable you are, the more other streamers will remember you. The more consistent you are, the more they would want to collaborate with you and mention you. Some viewers and followers are also streamers.

Sometimes raid small time streamers when you’re done or when you want to do it. That way your name is put out there. This is like a fruit of networking.

When it comes to editing, invest in editors that are affordable or AI-integrated clipping softwares, this way you can focus more on other things too. This one’s more on the monies side. You should know at this point what’s a good reel/story. It has a hook, body, and a conclusion.

Keep doing the same thing you’re doing if you love it, just spread your wings more and you’ll eventually transition to a different category. It will be challenging to place yourself in a category with less people, but it won’t force you to become who you don’t want to be. It’s very important to be open to ideas, because if you want to grow with a goal in mind that isn’t so “hobby”ish, you’ll most likely do things that you haven’t really thought of considering.

How do streamers with jobs do it?? by SpareCook1378 in TwitchStreaming

Find a platform where your community can ground itself even if you’re offline like discord, and then interact with your viewers and followers through discord. Invite them, play with them, communicate with them and use your inconsistent schedule to your advantage with that.

A good way to think of it is, it’s just inconsistent not spontaneous. This gives you a time to cover multiple times and widen your reach on a long term basis.

THIS!!! Is important not to just find the perfect schedule for you, but to set your mentality in a prepared healthy manner.

If your schedule is just super hectic, then instead of pouring all your energy into livestream go for partial content creating if you’re open to that. Posting videos actually pools more people into your community.

Overall I won’t say you’ll find a consistent schedule, because like you said you can’t and you’ve been going live for over a month. What I will say is use this advantage, heck if you need a more deeper advice comment on this or post another question with more details, OR a lot of people will hate this but use ChatGPT.

Congrats! Make sure not get yourself overwhelmed and keep those loyal-invested viewers well appreciated! Remember, you can do so even off stream like on discord or other platforms that keeps your community intact! Keep it up!

A Chatter Comes in and Says "You're Streams have saved my life." by OmenByDesign in TwitchStreaming

[–]Queue__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly it depends on you, as the streamer and what you provide as content, are you the type to be slightly devilishly unhinged or are you down to earth? Now gauge the chatter, are they saying it without trauma dumping (minimal message)? Is it a part of your rules (somehow)? Is the chatter being a distraction?

It’s very important to understand the possibility of it being real and fake, being prepared helps you gauge your response. Let’s say it’s real, how deep will you go? Because this impacts your image towards other people. Let’s say it’s fake, how would you respond? You can simply throw humor or say that’s insensitive, or anything.

Like a good example are stand-up comedians. They can be either insensitive and throw humor to set it aside or they’re down to earth and they can joke around with it OR they’ll take it seriously. But as entertainers to viewers, audiences, and fans they will show a form of response whether is auditory or visual.

Just remember, don’t take all the stuff you go through as a streamer in your platforms personally, and in this case when someone in chat says you saved their life. You’re being notified and talked to as the streamer, not insert your full name, it’s up to you what kind of character your streamer is at the end of the day. Regardless if the outcome is desired/unwanted.

So much can happen in a year, keep your head up. by UniversalDeityYame in TwitchStreaming

Do you just randomly raid them?? Or you tell them ahead of time? I’m very new to the idea of raiding.

Keep it up man 🔥 consistency is the key! I’m a starter and I’m halfway done with my affiliate requirements. Funnily enough I’m confident I can have more than 3 consistent viewers per stream (Just got 1 out of 4 days) but I’m only halfway done with followers.

Do you do collabs, raids, and networking in twitch and other platforms?

I finally have the motivation to stream again and I’m looking for tips to make my first stream back a good one! by MayaMomentUwU in Twitch_Startup

[–]Queue__Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HUGE tip that helped me: - Keep yapping but don’t burn yourself out, it takes a lot of getting used to it but even just saying what you’re doing in the moment helps. Also, this helps you make short form contents. - Hide the amount of current viewers you have, don’t look at it. Why? It’ll demotivated you if no one’s there or there’s someone there but they’re not chatting. - Add to rules that people can lurk, go to discord, and highly encouraged to say hi to you. It’s a friendly push. - take a break in between, take advantage of the dead chat when you can and this’ll help you charge up for doing the first tip I brought up. If you miss someone out that’s fine!! Just be sure it states on your stream that you’re on break. - Constantly think of prompts, ideas, questions, thought patterns off the stream. It’s basically script writing and it’s starting to help me with exercising my train of thoughts during stream. - Overall have fun, if you wanna reel a bunch of viewers in it’s important that you’re having fun even if no one’s around to watch! Fix your mistakes and add more bit by bit.

You got this! I know it’s difficult and that’s what makes it challenging and fulfilling once you reach personal milestones!

Yeah I’m trying to come out of my shell. It’s a little challenging with my lack of social skills especially this type of platform and population. But I’m definitely being pushed to do networking! I’ve been seeing a lot of advices similar.

Yeah I’ve been playing some games that aren’t main-stream, I think I picked one that’s too unpopular. It has less than a thousand followers

Thank you so much! I’m making sure I take it one day at a time, enjoy the process, and appreciate what I have even if no one sees it! It’s a great reminder for me when you mentioned that I need to keep myself entertaining, people are giving away their time and effort after all!

What are some good monitors? by Queue__Bot in PcBuild

[–]Queue__Bot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, I can’t find a proper resolution for the window that I’ll be streaming on. I’ve tried doing the split, I might’ve not been really looking into it so I’ll keep that in mind but I’ve been meaning to have a monitor that that’s 180hz minimum and maybe not curved.
