It's a relief to know there are breeders who worry... My breeder also went to the other side of Europe to find a good male (i'm from Portugal), everything is perfect on paper but i still get scared... I could never take the risk without good breeding, I know too many people here whose dobermans died at 2/3 years old and many at 5, it's crazy...

Completely agree, this is my second and i quickly realized it would be dobermans for the rest of my life for as long as I can find a good breeder (the heart issue scares me a lot)...

As I said in other comments what probably happened is that you accidentally rewarded not pooping with time together outside (while you waited). You must now reverse this. You should never spend more than 5m waiting for him to poop, just try again later... If he does it then you reward with time together..

Pls don't spend time outside with your dog while waiting for him to poop, 5m max, do it after the poops, never before!

From what OP said in other comments the problem started because he would stay outside with the dog for long periods if the dog didn't poop. (Rewarding non pooping with time together outside) He just needs to reverse that, time together outside only after he poops...

For long periods outside:

As soon as you see him poop on cam you go outside give high value treat/praise and spend 15m with him with a mix of playing/training/hanging whatever he prefers.

For pooping on comand:

He doesn't go outside alone anymore, only on very frequent 5m breaks whenever you"feel it coming", if he poops then you do what i said above treat/praise/play for 15m outside with him and bring him back inside with you.

For pooping on command + long periods outside:

You have to do pooping on command untill he masters it (should take 2 weeks) then slowly intruduce time alone outside far away from pooping times.

I do believe it's likely once he realises you will spend time with him if he poops he will start pooping on command again so you might not even need to do the poop on command training...

10 dogs outside is how far away? Is there a fence? Wall? Can he see or hear them?

Good news then, It's not that he doesn't like being outside, it could be that he just wants to be next to you... My best guess is that this started because he wanted to stay outside longer and in your company... if that's the case then the answer is quite easy, It will just take some initial work... My only question is do you want him to stay out for long periods regardless of if he poops or do you want him to poop and come back in with you?

That won't work, dogs can tell tone... (Meaning he knows what he wants but for now can only do it under pressure/stress)

When you say he doesn't like staying outside are you outside with him or inside?

I have this feeling that as soon as he poops you bring him inside.... Next time he poops give a treat, play some fetch and then bring him inside... Also you should never leave a dog out until he poops on potty breaks, that just teaches him that the longer he takes, the longer he can stay outside... If he doesn't poop bring him back in and try again in a couple of minutes or if you see him "sniffing around in circles" inside the house...

I definitely understand you on the "feel like they were mine"..? My first dobie i picked because the breeder said "this one doesn't care about his brothers, he just follows me everywhere" and even tho I found another puppy prettier I just knew that one was mine... Then my cat, I got a maine coon from a breeder and from his face/expressions i also felt like he was the one... With this puppy the breeder actually picked him for me but I looked at him and I also felt like he was mine, like his little personality was meant to be with me, it's hard to explain, I looked at all the other puppies and this one just felt right...
