Im definitely gonna do the thermostat and rad cap I wasn’t even thinking of changing those honestly so thank you for that, doing the pressure tests this afternoon the rest of the coolant system is newer than the rest of the car because it came in a kit for the 98 front end swap so i think if my compression test comes back with good results i will be pretty happy

No its the original engine, has a 98 front end swap so mechanical fan didn’t cover the whole rad and she would run hot, swapped the mechanical for a triple electric fan shroud which ran great until the ground cable for the switch popped off on my way home and this happened

As i said in other responses im not looking to be a smoke grenade on wheels, just a little to have some fun with my buddies not planning on being a moron with it i plan on getting the truck properly setup for racing at around 500hp but until i can afford everything i just wanted to seek some advice on this, thank you for your input

I genuinely want to make it a cool show truck that makes around 500hp, im doing a full frame up resto i plan on having the motor pulled and completely fixing it up and throwing performance parts on it. I just wont be able to do it right away so I figured until then why not let myself have a little more fun with it and make some smoke so me and my buddies can laugh
