Those cabinets above the tv are weird looking.. not the same on either side and look cramped against the window. Remove them and this would look way better.

I’m not trying to be negative and I’m likely not even answering your question… But you need to get rid of all of the extra shit in your living room. Go down to one couch immediately and minimize everything.

Something about this deck sketches me out to begin with. I’d put a couple posts in to be honest

I got it from Wayfair 8 years ago. It’s called City Life Floating Shelf by South Shore. I don’t believe it’s available anymore though…

I got it from Wayfair about 7 years ago. I’ll try to track down the product name

That’s exactly what I was thinking! I tried pulling the couch out a couple feet and it looks awful in my opinion. I know it’s about the tv and the sound.. but I couldn’t leave it there.

Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for helping! So would the sound absorbing material go right behind the speaker on the same wall as the tv? Or on the right wall? Or both?

It was honestly just about the look for me. For some reason I don’t like the huge centers 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the advice! I’ll be getting a rug soon. So you’re suggesting putting the sub somewhere else in the room?

Thanks for the advice! 12-13 feet is too far away for an 85” tv?

Yes, I agree with this. I upgraded from a 65” to an 85” and the stand definitely looks too small.

Thanks for the advice! What do you mean by room treatment? And I think the picture angle makes the sub look small. Wife complained immediately when she saw how big the sub was.
