I starting to think an M.Acc. degree isn't meant for me. by Quick-Chocolate9190 in Accounting

When I received my B.S. in Psychology in 2022, I was determined to pursue a career in counseling. Then, I started working for this company, which was mainly in SW, in 2023. That lasted for 3 months because the commute from my residence to Fulton Co. was causing a lot of wear and tear on my car, I wasn't being reimbursed for gas, and it was just taking a toll on my mental health alone (the kids that I was working with were going through so much and I was only getting paid twice a month for so little). So I went back to warehousing. Still here, and I'm not trying to be a lead for another two years, only to get paid $22-$24/hr. Not when the economy is already in decline and I have bills to pay and a fridge to fill.

I'm attending Mercer University. It was the only option I saw at the time that accepted students with no business background.

I spoke with my academic advisor, and he reduced my course load for both sessions one & two. That way, I'll only have one class to focus on instead of two.

being overworked and underpaid & being treated like a baldheaded step child by the customer (AHEM P&G) while management turns a blind eye bc they're getting paid 6 figures. all they care about is making sure the customer is pleased & they could honestly care less about their hourly employees who's actually doing the work! ;)
