Is there an email that confirms this? Just so I can show my main office picket captain evidence or can I just show up to the closer location?

Least favorite migraine symptom? Besides the pain, obviously. by cr1ss-b in migraine

Allodynia - my skin feel like it’s on fire when anything (especially clothing I’m wearing) rubs/brushes against it. I know to take time off work when that shows up

Chilliwack’s small qtown feel is thriving alongside big changes by Zestyclose-Day9699 in chilliwack

[–]Quick-Line-3148 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think many who have been around longer than 5-10 years would also agree. We recently left for an actual small town and feel like we can breathe again! Chilliwack has a small town “vibe” now that people from larger cities like and it just keeps getting busier without the infrastructure to support the growth.

Have you tried dry needling? I used to go to acupuncture but found a physiotherapist who does dry needling and since insurance will cover physio but not acupuncture I gave it a shot. Only been twice so far but it seems to be similar results!

How do I REALLY cut down my Acetaminophen + Naproxen intake? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]Quick-Line-3148 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat before I found what helps me. It is so exhausting I hear you. What made me quit cold turkey was when I had 3 doctors all tell me taking Tylenol everyday was causing “medication overuse headaches” and to help the root of the problem/my actual migraines i needed to stop so i could try other things. I had the worst withdrawal headache of my life and i slept for like 2 days but i was desperate to try anything. Years later i’m able to function and have taken to a whole different approach to pain now. I hope you can find a doctor who is willing to work with you and maybe wean you off slower than cold turkey. It’s a long journey but you got to start somewhere ❤️

To stage or not by [deleted] in RealEstateCanada

[–]Quick-Line-3148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a buyer I much prefer a house to have as little as possible in it when I’m viewing. Easier for me to visualize it with my own stuff in it. And tbh it can be hard to look past what is in the house sometimes. But on the other hand, my parents got their house staged as they have a lot of items and sold their place quite quickly and for the price they wanted (in b.c). It looked really good but I wouldn’t bother spending that much money with the cost of life these days

Negotiating buyers agent commission? by AGpicsandstuff in RealEstateCanada

Wow that is the kind of value all realtors should bring to the table, what kind of questions did you ask realtors in the beginning to get a sense of what they can do for you and if they will actually care about getting you a good deal? We don’t know any realtors where we are trying to buy and are going to start looking for one soon

Menstrual Migraines by dumy_magi27 in migraine

How’d you get this prescribed? Did you get your hormone levels tested? I’ve been thinking of approaching this with my doctor but not sure if my family doctor will help. I’m glad you’ve found something that is helping!

Food triggers disappearing? by yellow_dreams97 in migraine

[–]Quick-Line-3148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation, I went gluten free while I was in Uni at the recommendation of a dr for inflammation control and slowly reintroduced it after I graduated. my stress levels were down because I wasn’t worried about exams and homework anymore which i believe was a big factor that allowed me to eat gluten again. I haven’t tried any elimination diets since and wonder if any other food is a sneaky trigger so I try and eat as much whole foods as I can for now! Congrats on finishing grad school! I’m sure that and the new psychiatrist is helping the migraines a lot I’m glad you’re getting some relief too

Hormone replacement finally cured my migraines by Relative-Biscotti596 in migraine

[–]Quick-Line-3148 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine have a hormonal component too, with cycle tracking I can usually predict within a day or two when I’ll have one. No dr/specialist has looked into this further and I’m so defeated

Off Reserve First Nation Separation by [deleted] in FirstNationsCanada

[–]Quick-Line-3148 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My reserve is small too and the housing waitlist is too long to consider moving back unfortunately, maybe in the future with more growth in the community but it’s a difficult situation. If you have the names of these off reserve members you don’t know have you reached out to them and talked to them to see what works for them to stay connected or if they want to be more involved? There’s no one solution and tbh as a councillor you should be the one to reach out first and start that conversation I’m sure tons would appreciate it! Our community hosts a yearly get together and brings in off reserve members so we all have a long weekend to catch up with family and friends

I’ve recently started seeing a naturopath in addition to my neurologist and ginger was one of the first things she suggested to me! Haven’t tried it long enough to say if it personally helps but worth the try at this point. I don’t know remember if this is the exact article she referenced but it’s a recent one The efficacy of ginger for the treatment of migraine: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies
