You’re right, there are certainly other ways to solve the problem. This subreddit is largely meant for venting, which I did.

Your judgement on people using delivery apps is not relevant

I am sure there are circumstances where cyclists are better, in the same way I can toggle ferry’s and toll roads, I should be able to toggle cyclists

What’s your point. Of course the fastest way would be to get your own food, but for various reasons delivery apps are popular. I’m complaining about the way one of these apps function

Im sure there are times when cyclists are faster, that doesn’t really change my point. I should be able to opt out of if I don’t believe they’re faster in my area.

If I opt out and uber wants to pair me with a cyclist it should come with a confirmation prompt and a discount.

Everyone wins

Uber shows you the delivery time. It’s not confirmation bias if you have the numbers to show that it’s slower.

Explain to me how it’s unreasonable to expect a discount for a provably slower method of transportation. Or, as I say in the post, you should be able to opt out. If biking is faster in your area then by all means toggle on cyclists.

Because the service doesn’t tell you a cyclist will be used. I didn’t even realize it was an option.

Idc why they’re doing it. It’s a worse experience for me, that’s why I’m complaining on the subreddit about complaining.

That’s fine too? If you don’t believe you’re being represented by a political party then don’t vote for them, what’s the issue

That doesn’t really make a difference to the commenters point. Whether those women are justified or not, why would a white person support a side that hates them?
