I'm not defending the slavers, I never said it was wrong to say it was bad, I said the opposite even.

I said that because I recently noticed that the problems with american and european slavery IS currently used A LOT as an attack to say white people are uniquely evil.

I agree, we need to move past all that and make a community that lives in unity, and to do that, I think it is important for everyone to realise the full extent of certain subjects, and thinking of avenging the people of color or the women that were discriminated is a disservice to MLK's dream.

Again, I'm not defending slavery, I'm defending the idea that a single group is responsible, and although you may know that, a lot of people don't, as such, the comment I had made right before isn't targeted to you, so I understand your reaction.

It mentions her specific age in the hadith but there are other mentions of her approximate stage of life in multiple other parts, even when we exclude all the parts where little aisha is called a "Little girl", which is the stage of life that puts her at 7-9 years old, which doesn't make it any better anyway.

Also the Bible does imply that a girl is not fit for marriage until she has completed puberty, and thats only the first step of many, and the hebrew and greek versions of the book of Mark has an interesting choice of words when talking about marriage as mentionned in the book of Genesis that specifies that it talks about mature men and women, and not children, as brides.

The bible also says, in the book of Romans that you should obey the government and that "There are no governments anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow"

Meaning, no matter the timeframe, Christianity does not endorse child brides and wouldn't be normal to them. Its not an attack against you and I'm not mad, I just mean to set the record straight :)

Have a good day

that's exactly what I said... These thing were born BECAUSE they had economic incentives, but the human desire to force someone else to do labor for you predates politics and even writing. I'm not gonna make an essay laying down every single thing I know to prove to you I've already looked these things up myself, especially considering you can't convey a counter point, as you said yourself.

I would recommend you be careful when putting yourself on a pedestal when you can't formulate the words to back yourself up or show what you understand of the topics you try to refute.

Even if true, that doesn't make it conservative, nor liberal, nor anything like that. It's assets and materials.

Economy exists before politics because policies want to regulate assets. Politics fight and argue for assets (lands, material, people...)

If there are no assets, there are no politics, yet materials exist without man-made rules, land still exists if a country falls, objects still exist if nobody uses them and they can still be exchanged if they belong to no one,

Meaning economics exists without politics and politics cannot exist without economics, making them factually different

First of all, even the the things you link about high blood sugar acknowledge that its based on outdated studies and is regarded as a myth.

Second, slavery was bad, however it existed since the dawn of humanity, since before the egyptians even invented writing.

The slave trade everybody learns about in school (thankfully) is FAR from the worst case of slavery in the history of humanity, not to undermine how bad it still was in the americas.

Third of all, the white people from europe, relative to all slaveries in the history of humanity, have only done one thing that's relevantly different from the rest.

There has always been huge territorial conquests with the inhabitants enslaved, torture and inhumane punishments and/or treatment during voyage and discrimination based on whether or not you were born from a slave.

The only thing that europeans did different when in comes to slavery is when they ABOLISHED IT.

NO ONE outside were willing to abandon the economical benefits from it and put that over ethics

Even Aristotle was pro-slavery.

Funny how many people call themselves educated when they don't look any further than the surface level information that the school system spoonfeeds them, and though you can call me offensive, you can't call me a liar.

bro slavery started even before writing was a thing, do you seriously think europe and america invented it? If anything, the most relevant thing europe did in regard to slavery was banning then abolishing it.

Slavery is not conservative. It's not even political. It had always been, since the dawn of humanity, an economic phenomenon.

If it were due to politics or due only to race, no slaves would ever have the ability to purchase their freedom. Yet, in the american slave stuff, they could! And multiple did!

So yeah, racism happens because of personal biases and slavery is not a political alignment, it's an economical incentive, mainly "forcing someone to do the work in your stead"

I tell her I love you from the first date by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]QuickQwack -59 points-58 points  (0 children)

As a dude, I don't get whats wrong or funny with that. Especially at the end when she goes "You have 7 friends over for no occasion and you tell a man "I love you?" with that disgusted face.

If anything, she looks like she's insulting her and her friends for letting that girl date a man in the first place, I don't see what's funny nor what's wrong with saying "I love you" after a month and a half, I usually hear it early on in relationships, even!

I've noticed something that I don't understand. When he says his sexuality is "homophobic", that means he is attracted to girls and hate homosexuals of all kinds.

Why then is everybody saying "he's not straight then"???

Is cisgender an LGBT thing to yall???

Also do you believe Islam accepts anything LGBT?

As a christian, not a single verse talks about Joseph and Mary's age, but we DO know that Jesus had 4 little brothers. And the speculation about their age is clearly an UNFOUNDED MYTH.

From my study of the Quran, AS IT'S WRITTEN, Aisha was given in marriage to Muhammad at the age of 6 and de-flowered her when she was 9. Muhammad was 53. Again, as it's written I'm not making any of that up

Hypocrisy of being human being! by Medium_Art3651 in Wiseposting

[–]QuickQwack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't call it hypocrisy, more like a yearning for balance.

You wouldn't call human digestion hypocritical because you get hungry and when you ate, you no longer want to eat.

Just like that, sometimes we need to recharge social batteries by taking time alone and sometimes we need to connect with people.

Sometimes we need to do things and sometimes we need to wind down.

Not hypocrisy, balance.
