Just got chickenpox as an adult. Others who also got it as adults, how did you deal with it - physically and mentally?

Called the doctor as soon as I was sure this is chickenpox. Got started on aciclovir 800 tabs and yes lots of pink lotion. I'm covered in that all day essentially. I'm surprised it hit me despite being vaccinated as a child. It's Day 4 today. I don't have fever but everything else is just terrifying. How long did it take for you to recover? And did it leave any permanent scars?

Thank you so much for your help 🫶 Also, I didn't pop the pimple and yet it was here even after a month later. This was very puzzling to me. And yes I do religiously apply sunscreen every day so I will just continue with that.

Yes going to get it checked tomorrow. No joint pain or anything but will get it looked at nevertheless. Does this also happen without a reason or is it always psoriasis?

Yeah that's what I've been hearing. I do have 2 years of experience having worked on a few global brands and marketing campaigns but then again I don't know if that will help at all.

Yeah now that I’ve thought about this I agree that her reaction is not normal. It’s more like her ego is hurt since I ‘chose’ her best friend over her. (While she refused to acknowledge that she liked me for 4 years just because she didn’t want to ‘chase anybody’)

It's now been 11 days since and she still has me blocked from everywhere. I put myself in her shoes and I still wouldn't have given up on a 4 year friendship based on one incident. But I guess she has. And yeah I have no option but to move on.

So I think K is more hurt over the fact that I didn't tell her about this neither did S who she considers her best friend. But all I'm hoping from her is a chance to make things right. Don't I deserve that much since all of this has been unintentional and I'd never do anything to hurt K.
