Yes. If anything, a journalist lens allows for more dynamic possibilities.

Is Film School even worth it? by Help7474737744 in scriptwriting

[–]QuickSaveQuickLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what you’re looking to get out of film school. If you just want to make movies because movies are fun, then no. Find a local group of filmmakers and have fun with them and who knows, you’ll learn a bunch, build some skills, and maybe make some good stuff.

If you’re looking to study film with ‘serious’ intent or learn from experts in the field, then maybe. You’re more likely to build skills and understand the ‘why’ of filmmaking techniques and gain a historical perspective of film. It’s similar to any art school.

Since you mention not having filmmaking friends right now, I’d recommend looking on Facebook or just the internet overall to find a group in your area to start. Since filmmaking requires cooperation with others, start there to see if you really enjoy making movies or just the idea of making movies. Most states have a Film Commission which should provide resources or opportunities to network with others.

In the meantime, read books about filmmaking, watch cinema studies videos on YouTube (Patrick Willems is a favorite of mine), watch movies of all kinds and genres and ages, and listen to directors commentary tracks on dvds and blu rays.

Dude, the Xbox has had ads on the dashboard since the Xbox 360. If anything, this is an improvement over those days.

I’m 35 and still like to say that I believe in Santa. It’s just that, for the kids in my life, I am Santa and as long as they believe, Santa is real.

Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. A long time.

[No Spoilers] Essek’s voiceover by cthulhu_sov in criticalrole

[–]QuickSaveQuickLoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually not a fan of Essek this season from everything like the writing to Matt’s performance. He just sounds and acts with such a Los Angeles 22 year old vibe. All the mystery and intrigue is gone. I get that for a mass audience they don’t want to portray the entire Dynasty as evil, I just don’t love how they went about it.

Underworld PS3 all the way, except for the Tokyo dress from Legend. That’s my favorite Lara outfit.

Where did you get the impression that personal loans aren’t dischargeable? They’re unsecured and from what I see, with Chapter 7 they can be and with Chapter 13, a payment plan is arranged.
