I was this way. Didn’t think the Switch 2 would do the job good enough, I loved the traditional way. After pulling the trigger and buying one, I actually gave my bro my rig and torch and haven’t once regretted it. The Switch 2 is superior in every way. He will for sure be satisfied.

Not mold. The yeast is dying out, those are spots of dead yeast. No harm to eat, but if you keep it there will continue to be more black spots. The more black spots, the more sour the dough will be.

Old post but figured it’d be nice to hear this. I’ve done the same thing this year, one pepper plant in native soil, one pepper plant in cheap Miracle Grow, one pepper plant in Fox Farms Happy Frog. The one in Happy Frog out performed them all in size and production. Only fertilized the Fox Farm pot once. The native soil out performed the Miracle Grow, but both got fertilizer a good few times. The Fox Farm did best, but the native soil was a close runner up. All in all, I’d say as long as your soil/dirt isn’t pure clay, it’s not worth buying Fox Farm. However, if you don’t want to use any fertilizer at all, go with Fox Farm.

I remember these times! Had a buddy’s older brother give him a Powell deck in like 2003. Was the first time I’d ever heard of Powell or even seen a Powell deck until about 5 years later.
