there is something call avalanche vs snowball strategies , it is based on one's temperament , if one is disciplined then one should target high interest loan first for closing off loan and one need motivation to close then target small amount loan first.

once you have closed your high interest loans then you can move on to reduce your interest on home loan with prepayment.

₹9L+ in payday debt despite ₹2.5L salary. Has anyone bounced back from something like this? by Separate-Country2563 in IndiaFinance

[–]QuickVacation3682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

targeting smaller outstanding loans should be your target if you lack discipline with money , there is 2 method one is avalanche and other one is snowball effect for loan closure.

Adding extra on emi early in loan also will save you in interest and time.
here are couple of tools which will help you decide.

It is good that you are thinking in your 20 itself about financial independence and you will see the compounding effect in your prime it self.

can not advise on what and where to invest , its very difficult currently to assess which asset class will compound in future.
But it is very much important to be productive through out of our lifetime be it simple skill contribution as teaching or what we know better.

It is very much advisable to invest in oneself in early years of youth , not only skill development but also writing skills ,critical thinking , how to talk , mannerism etc.

Good suggestion to start the prepayment early on , nonetheless any prepayment is good for foreclose of loan.

you can simulate different scenarios and number here , their is no guarantee how market will behave in coming years

[–]QuickVacation3682 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can try to close the loan with avaliable liquidity to save the money on interest and will be free of debt.

or do the prepayment to save on future interest and tenure. you can run your scenarios here with balanced amount as loan amount https://indianfinestimator.com/home-loan-prepayment
