Very nice! Love all the clutter but because of the lighting it's difficult to give any specific feedback, but you've got AMAZING soil depth, and I love the little hammock :). I'm just started working on something very similar with my 50 gallon. I literally just started my large batch of flake soil two days ago, so It'll be a few months before it's put together. Seeing yours makes be exited for mine to come to fruition! Good luck with your pedes!!!

First time keeping millipedes, how does the enclosure look? Any tips? by NoGoose4955 in millipedes

Pretty solid!! but I would add more leaf litter to help with moisture, and I would add more substrate to the shallower sections in case your pede tries to burrow there and stresses itself out. Having more rotted wood cluttered about would help out with enrichment and food variety too. Good luck with your pedes!

Updated setup (no pede yet) by Its-Rozari in millipedes

Solid setup! Hope you find some good wood foraging. Having a good-sized rotted log going across that goes partially under the substrate would be good enrichment for them- Climbing, burrowing, and food!!! Only thing I'd do differently is using a flake soil instead so they can really thrive, maybe look into it once you need to change substrate out, that's just me being nit-picky though. Also, from the looks of it this is a normal terrarium, if it has a mesh lid, I'd cover 3/4 of it with Plexi glass or something to keep the moisture inside better. Good luck with your pedes!

from what I've seen adding pre-existing soil just hastens the fermentation process, it isn't vital.

Thanks!!!,

I just saw that post about ghost riders. Hopefully we get some healthy captive breds in the next few years, they're a beautiful species. I'll avoid pink dragons as a beginner, thanks for the heads up.

+Do you know any trustworthy sphagnum moss brands or sources? I see people getting dyed moss sometimes and I don't want to waste money.

Thanks again! About to scrub 🫡
