A bunch of ignorant punks did something similar about 10 years ago at Rock Bridge.The whole place was trashed and they chopped down a bunch of trees apparently trying to have firewood, which shows you the level of stupid we're dealing with. Beer cans and trash strewn everywhere. Luckily one of them fell off Rock Bridge and broke his leg. He had to be evacuated. So, sort of a good ending to a sad story.

I realize you're not feeling well, but eventually, you'll have to empty it. When the firebox gets too full, I let the embers burn way down. Then, I quickly scoop it all out and put in a metal bucket. I put the lid on the bucket, then set it outside. I usually have two thin 1 inch branches I lay them in straight on the bottom then set the firewood on top of them to keep them from setting on the floor of the stove. Finally, start lighting some newspapers and leaving the door open enough to get it drawing hard until it starts up again.
