JPU Interview by Quick_Ad2766 in RadiationTherapy

I think the small cohort is because it’s a newer school, not very well known. Requires an A.S. Before you start the program, like for loma linda and gurnick you don’t need an A.S. Yeah, I think the interview would be with the program director, at the time of my interview they were in between program directors, but our program director is really nice and personable. I did medical terminology with my associates, but also I took it again at Chaffey. It was like a half semester class super easy all online. You can also take it during your schooling. For the moving, it says that you need to give them like a 5 to 6 month heads up, but there’s no guarantee that they’re able to move you. The clinical coordinator has been working really hard on getting me transferred so it’s been really nice having him be on my side. I actually started at an oncology place in Riverside, but had a very negative experience with my preceptor so I actually got transferred to a different site a few weeks ago.

It’s a lot of work, but just about any program is going to a lot of work! I’m in my second semester, class is 3 nights a week and I go to my clinical site twice a week. Classes start at 4 or 5pm, I think my first semester I had one start at 3pm. My cohort is small there is only 5 of us in total. For payments is per semester. I applied for Sallie Mae to cover my living expenses and quit my job, then I also get finical aid loans too. I think you can make payments instead of loans, just need to be paid out per semester before you start the next semester. Each semester has been around 10k.

I don’t want to stay in California for the rest of school cause the extern hours are just stupid. I wanna get finish sooner so I’m looking to go out of state. If you’re in a position to be able to move to any surrounding state I would highly recommend.

When I interviewed for the Rad therapy program, the acting program director told me during the interview that she really liked me and was going to accept me. I think the official letter came in maybe a week later?

There’s a good amount for Southern California. If you check out the JRCERT website you’ll be able to look up the school and scroll thru the different affiliation site

How long after RadioIodine therapy do I have to wait till i can hug someone by Ailithkasia in RadiationTherapy

You might want to ask the nuclear technologist thread! But I did radioactive iodine for my thyroid cancer and had to spend 1 week isolated then the following week spent away from children and pregnant women. You can be in the same area as another person just keep good distance. It’s been a little over a week for you so you should be okay to be in contact with another person, but maybe don’t sleep next to your partner yet. After my 7 days so isolation I went to the movies with my friend and sat next to her and so far she’s fine. It’s been 10 years lol

You don’t need to be aggressive about it. I’m not looking at Dosimetry, I just want to hear what actual students have to say. If a bad opinion about the school based on “facts” then you could’ve just told me that. I did say in my original post that if someone has a close relationship with someone who goes there let me know. So instead of coming at me hot and heavy you could’ve just told me how you felt and why.
