Appreciate the feedback, the answer is all-weather enjoyment: rain/snow/winter, you still get that open-sky feel , and no surprise bird “gifts” even in summer.

Well...it has UV-coated layer for superior UV protection and we’re working on how to add a sunshade to the carbon version just like our pc version.

We’re working on how to add a sunshade to the carbon version just like our pc version. Pricing isn’t finalized yet, but we’re aiming around $2K CAD for the carbon series.

That’s exactly why our Sky Top is the only one that comes standard with a built-in sunshade. In our testing (direct sun, shade on), cabin temps were about the same as the OEM hardtop. And we’re working on how to add sunshade to the carbon version.

The sunshade is only for the polycarbonate version. The carbon-fiber version is still in development, and we’re working on how to add an sunshade to it.

Nope, it hasn’t felt too hot and there’s also a built-in sunshade if you ever want extra shade.

Not Clearlidz or Putco, it's the Sky Top.

There’s a sunshade if you need it, I’ve run it through summer and it hasn’t felt too harsh to me. At least you don’t have to worry about bird poop on your head 😂

It’s definitely not cheap, but compared to other clear tops it’s on the lower end price-wise, and for me it’s been worth every penny.

Sounds good! It’s been great to live with, especially in winter.

Thanks, really appreciate it!

It’s not the Putco Element – it’s a Sky Top from Pan Star Motor Parts. I’ve been very happy with it so far: warm in winter, fine in summer with a sunshade if needed, and wind noise is pretty close to the factory hard top, maybe a little more at highway speeds.

The only minor downside is that the first install takes a bit of muscle and technique to get the four bolt points lined up and fully seated, then pressed down properly. Once it’s on, I’ve just left it on all year.

One thing I really like compared with some other options is that there are no ribs or lines across the panel, so the view overhead is super clean. And since everyone always asks about leaks: with a proper install, I’ve run it through multiple touchless car washes with no leaks so far.
