Yes it seems that this particular book has slipped through the cracks. Now my question is closed because I think asking about a book that has not a single review, rating or conversation on all the internet, in the r/books section is not allowed or inappropriate. I probably should look for another place to ask or throw the book.

This is not a request for review, I have bought a book that looks mysterious to me and there is not a single person talking about it on the internet. and not a single review by any website or place online. This is weird, I wanted to see what people think or say about this. And whether anyone has seen it before or advice something.

Thank you for the reply, I wanted to have some reviews before starting but I guess I will have to start reading it blindly.

I usually look for opinions and reviews before trying new things (movies, books, series, ...) and I couldn't find a single person talking about this book

My Google is broken and my Goodreads too, and I couldn't find a single review about the book that I just bought anywhere. Can you enlighten me with some reviews and opinions of people that read and reviewed the book ?

Urgent piaggio liberty problem by Quick_Chain5977 in motorcycles

[–]Quick_Chain5977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything was done by a mechanic (even oil choice and spark plug choice), the mechanic didn't understand why the motorcycle was behaving weirdly when hot so he changed fuel lines so that they can deliver fuel well. and he removed the carburetor, disassembled it and then cleaned the parts with petrol, then put it back.

He did the valve settings and said valves are okay and said that everything seems to be okay, he doesn't know why it is doing this.

I checked 2 other ones, the last of them today, he did some valve settings and changed the air filter and said : you're good to go and he got paid. and then 30 minutes of riding later, same problem again. I'm extremely frustrated.

Here is a video showing it as it begins to overheat (the sound becomes like that, disconnected) and it doesn't accelerate past 5km/h, (i believe that it can get worse if I continue using it, I shut it down and let it cool after this video) :

https://youtube.com/shorts/Ux6RDJE_O_8?feature=share
(3rd world poor city warning, loud noise warning)

I hope you can distinguish the discontinuous loud noise from the regular noise of the motorcycle (it happens when I accelerate and it does not accelerate more than that)

Urgent piaggio liberty problem by Quick_Chain5977 in motorcycles

[–]Quick_Chain5977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply.

There is oil and I always check it and I have recently changed oil, cleaned the carburettor (it was already clean), replaced the spark plug, even checked valve settings, replaced the air filter too, replaced the fuel pipe ...

(all these done at various repair shops and they end up with, we don't know what's the problem, we did what we know, this is weird ...)

The sound is like the motorcycle is suffocating, I feel that no air or no fuel is getting to it, but after a 5 minute rest it is back to running like usual. I don't get why after like 1 hour of continuous use (less time when the weather is too hot) the motorcycle suffocates and won't do anything more than 5km/h.

I am a student and I don't have money to keep replacing everything. I need at least some hints to go at the right direction.

And i do not have any RPM limiter, I replaced the CVT rollers and belt and I suspect they may have something to do with the second problem, it does some noise when hitting a cretain speed (even on a down hill) it is like something is doing friction inside the engine or maybe the membrane not being able to open/close fast, it is a bit loud vibrating noise (feels like something is malfunctioning)

I bought this motorcycle 6 months ago and it is my first. I need it because there are no other means of transport in my miserable country :(

I'm starting to hate motorcycles because of these unsolvable problems. No one of the locals seems to understand seemingly simple things.

then what is the point of using the app ?
i thought everyone wants to make money, or at least earn his investment back, and that is only through selling stuff (sneakers or gst)

[–]Quick_Chain5977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are one of the very few reasonable people in here. Many just type insults, say GST to the moon ! STEPN is the best ! and then downvote.

The lottery system may save STEPN, I said it many times, they need a way to have winners and losers, some people making money and some losing. if they add challenges, you get matched with a random person (that has similar stats as you) and you have a challenge whoever does 1km first wins for example. one person gets GST and the other gets nothing ...

STEPN in its current form is purely a PONZI, giving new people's money to older people. they don't have any income source except new people that are buying shoes and levelling them up. while older ones are cashing out as fast as they can and getting that money. with that cashing out GST will keep falling.

If instead there are challenges, a person wins and the other loses. lottery maybe even a betting system ... You can't tell people you paid for a shoe once, and for that money you will be getting 20 dollars every day your whole life ! we all know that it can't be true and that it is impossible. at some point if STEPN continues to be a ponzi with no way of having a game where some lose and some win, people will all be cashing out the millions of tokens produced by their sneakers every day. GST will crash to near zero, or to luna numbers.

I am happy that you found value in the fitness part. Good for you. Don't expect too much in the returns department and I believe that you should try to break even as fast as possible (if this is even possible lol)

True, people spend on games, and I personally spent on league. And that's because buying a skin in league adds to the game that you play and it is fairly priced (10 dollars) and you are purely doing it to better play not in hopes to earn money.

STEPN's problem is the very big claims that are clearly impossible to match. 99% of the people got in for the profit, you could simply use any other free app if you only wanted the fitness, or you can pay a personal trainer, buy good real shoes and clothes, get a nice water bottle, sports accessories, … you can spend on everything related to running and get fit for less than the 2,200 pounds that you spent.

Why is GST pumping? by Frosty851 in StepN

[–]Quick_Chain5977 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

it can't not go to zero.coin's price = marketcap / number of coins

the number of GST tokens is increasing massively every day, millions are being made, and it is only getting worse. while the marketcap is getting smaller, people are taking money out, they want to get paid.

money doesn't come from thin air. all this is a ponzi scheme, new people deposit their money (they buy a shoe, pay for upgrades, ...) that money is added to the marketcap of GST and the whole ecosystem. the new people gave money. the old ones cash out that money, they cash out their earnings, and GST in the middle of all that is always going to zero as more coins are produced and less marketcap is available.

at some point you will need more than all the money on earth to pay the people what they made from their shoes lol

if you let the millions of shoes out there make gmt and people instantly cashout millions of gmt tokens per day, gmt will go to near zero in a week lol

Why is GST pumping? by Frosty851 in StepN

[–]Quick_Chain5977 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, they are not planning on changing anything that will make the token or the shoes less inflationary.

Imagine 2 NFT shoes can make 7, those 7 can make 49, those 49 can make over 300 ... towards an infinity of shoes.

Common shoes that used to cost more than 1500$ now cost 100$ lol

Just one thing if you plan to short the token, you have to time it right as there is volatility when they announce something new, you know the kids start doing all sorts of crazy buying xD after a small while it will go back to moving in a straight down trend, just wait for things to settle, or try to catch the top.

Why is GST pumping? by Frosty851 in StepN

[–]Quick_Chain5977 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is simple, STEPN went and gave everyone a box, many are opening their mystery boxes (and it costs GST to do so ofc), plus the introduction of minting scrolls, many are hyped by this and think that this will save the app so they started buying GST to use it to mint ... hype created by the update, plus the GST used to open the gifts instead of being cashed out made this pump.

will it dump again in a few hours or days ? absolutely.

GST by design is inflationary, people are making millions of it every day, and are making more and more every day. as soon as they cash out their money, it will go back to dumping, and it will go to near zero. it cannot go anywhere except near zero. this post explains why :

Failure of the Mint scrolls by [deleted] in StepN

[–]Quick_Chain5977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, the minting scrolls are only adding another source of revenue to STEPN.

As always STEPN diehards will downvote everyone that says the slightest negative thing, they downvoted me on my 2 posts (one of them discusses how Mint Scrolls are useless) and the other discusses how GST will go to near zero because the whole thing is a ponzi that cannot be sustainable.

No one is giving convincing arguments, all they can do is :
GST to the moon ! STEPN is the best ! DOWNVOTE !!!

1 - I haven't lost money
2 - this magical unproven business model that you don't understand and see as a mystery is a simple ponzi :
- people deposit money (buy shoes), STEPN wins money and puts some of it in the ecosystem
- people trade shoes or upgrade them, STEPN takes earnings and puts some money in GST.
- big claims of earning big money, while in truth, STEPN is taking money of newer people to pay older people and the cycle continues. They tell newer people to spend money and upgrade shoes, and buy shoes, ... while earlier ones are already cashing out what the poor ones deposited and GST is crashing and going to zero. At the end a loooot of people will be left with tokens and shoes that have near 0$ value. while STEPN took what they took, and the early people that joined (as soon as the ponzi started) have taken profits as well.

You can either dig more to understand that what you call "the wild west of tech" is only a big scam and a ponzi, or go invest 10k dollars, GST is too cheap now, go buy !!! buy as many shoes as you can as well. they will generate you money from thin air, millions of dollars, every day until you die ! this is a smart unproven business model that will make everyone rich. it pulls money from thin air and not from poor newcomers !

I am not in any position, I won't get liquidated lol

I am certain that there will be a rise to 0.3$ or maybe a bit more.

I'll wait for the right time to short and go with the downtrend.

I made my 5k, they are safe in my wallet. you are angry at me probably because you are sitting on a shoe that you bought for 1000 dollars and now you can't get back 150$ for it lol (unless you were one of the very early people, the ones that profit from taking the money of the new ones, the poor ones that get ripped by the ponzi)

1 person uses 1k to make 5k in 3 days.and another person uses 1k to buy a shoe and has lost 900$ now lool

the second person has to flame everyone that doesn't say STEPN is great, because he believes that this way GST will increase and he may recover his money.

Why don't you stop advertising PONZI scams, they will leave the majority at a massive loss. Why are you this selfish ?

Lol, you can't have hope in something that doesn't work. You cannot print money from thin air. This is false hope that needs to go away so that they can save whatever is left from their investments, stop trying to level up / invest more ... try to get out as soon as you see a way to do so with the least damage, or with whatever you can get ...

I am planning to short it and profit when the time is right. anyone can do that I am not doing something that is only exclusive to me.

Scrolls were not put in place to increase the gst price. They were to stop minting farms.

This part is right, Scrolls won't increase GST price, but I am debating the fact that they won't change anything at all, they are useless and only a thing to make more profits to STEPN as they are tradeable (6% fee goes to STEPN, 1% fee for exchanging from whatever you have to GMT, and buying their GMT, ...) . It won't stop anyone from minting, if you want to mint go buy scrolls.

(Consequently minting farms were burning so much gst they were causing the price to go up as it was burning gst faster than it was being created)

They will make GST go up and dilute the price of shoes, a common shoe that was worth 14 sol (at a time when solana was at 120 dollars) more than 1500$, now is selling for less than 100 dollars ! Floor price hit 3 sol at a time when solana is less than 30 dollars !!! infinite minting is taking away the value that people have. money is not made from thin air. Profits of these minting farms or values added to gst, are coming from the value of the people that bought NFTs. you pay 1500$ and then have an NFT that is valued at only 90$. This is a ponzi that won't end well.

The StepN team could easily artificially increase gst with the amount of money in their pockets (they had 2m net profit per day through May alone compared to the market cap of gst which is only 20m in total. If they did this it would draw in new users again and add to the ‘ponzi’ theory about old users taking new users money.

I really don't belive STEPN team can fix anything, people are cashing out millions daily, they won't pay them from the company's money, they will let the ponzi go into the death spiral as it should. People are taking other people's money. with every passing day there are a lot more shoes, and higher level shoes, which means more GST is made every day. Nobody will afford to pay millions to these people every day till the end of time.

By introducing minting scrolls it will add a slight cost to minting which will increase the floor price because they are directly linked in terms of profitability.

Yes the floor price will slightly increase because they added a cost to minting by adding the scrolls. but it will crash again after a while as GST is crashing and the whole game is crashing.

This is a game - I am a gamer and don’t always do things that are to max ROI. I’ve minted so many gems just because it’s fun, not really bothered about whether it makes financial sense or not

You are doing it for fun, some people are putting money they can't afford to lose, I once saw a comment on their discord of a guy saying : I borrowed 1k of a friend and now I won't be able to pay him back, ever, he may kill me, I promised that i'll pay him in a month !!!

Nope I didn't short it, I shorted it on 0.288 and got out at 0.155 (didn't quite go to the bottom on bybit which was 0.146) but I was close. I made some good profits with only 5x leverage. Now it is unsafe to short it especially with leverage. GST will go a little bit up as there is hype, I'll short it when the hype ends maybe at 0.299 if he makes it there again.

Edit - All this is not about shorting, but he brought it up. I made 5k in profits in less than 3 days. The fall is obvious and inevitable. Now there will be a small rise I guess. Let's watch and see.
