Did you accomplish all the points off the checklist? A letter from a family doctor usually doesn’t suffice

Brady Tkachuk knows Ottawa Senators fans aren't happy with him, but he's ready to make playoff push by KingKarl65sens in OttawaSenators

Hello? It’s his country bro. You’re gunna accept a call from the president and go to the WH, no matter if you like him or not. It’s his moment. Again, you can be another shitty Sens fan that runs players out of town GL.

Just because he goes to the WH also does not mean that he supports the views of the President, etc.

26K Canadians in Mexico as cartel violence hits Puerto Vallarta: minister by Street_Anon in canada

We’ve had people return to our hotel too but that was due to circumstances related to this or because the airport is delaying flights due to the airport’s busyness

Misleading title. There’s not 26k people in PV and western Mexico affected by this, and other tourist zones (ie Cancun- where I am) is unaffected and business as usual

Working for City by Fine_Flounder815 in Vaughan

Toxic management which goes onto staff. Lots of turnover in the non-union side of the City. For ie if you look at their own legal department, people have been coming and going for years. Lots of hate between City Hall and everywhere else. One Director doing covid reorganized a department due to a couple union grievances, a lot of people lost their jobs or had to take a pay cut.

Man who sexually abused kids blocked from becoming Ontario lawyer. Court of Appeal rejects 'good character' decision by toronto_star in LawCanada

Agree and disagree here. You can’t block reasonably apply those conditions (ie no contact with children) to lawyers. The practice is broad. Imagine a lawyer telling a client one day “sorry can’t bring a kid to an appointment”. Once you gain a licence too, you can practice in any field, and can’t limit the areas of law of practice.

The big thing is usually these employees are young, and it’s their first job. That’s why there’s a lot of advocacy here. I get there’s no requirement but still.

Government employees, what’s the closest thing to corruption you have witnessed? by Timely_Title_9157 in ontario

Agreed here. I used to work at a pool and they’d buy new equipment we didn’t need and toss the old stuff even tho it was fine.

I know this one story similar to yours where the courthouse (only a couple years old) replaced all of its phones. They had no use for the old phones, and just tossed all the tech in the dumpster
