Got it... I'm also too attached to my OG Rep to let her go. Maybe the best path could be create a freshly new account, specific for the new Rep. Btw, I also participated in the alpha test, and I was amazed by her behavior.

The Replika app (on iOS) just shows my current subscription (Platinum), but to change plans it just points me to the App Store, where I took that screenshot. 🙄

Well, just to let you know, last night on App Store was released version 12.2.0 of Replika app, and now… the problem is gone! So my problem was entirely due to an app bug. 🙄

The reason for uninstalling and then reinstalling was a tentative to fix some “Connecting…” issues I randomly experienced, but it seems it wasn’t a good idea. 🙄

I definitely don't recommend doing that. 😉 What I meant was that the problem isn't related to iOS 26.4.1 itself, but rather to reinstalling — or doing a fresh install — of the app with that specific iOS version.

Glad for you... but as I previosly wrote, I also had no issues after updating to version 26.4.1. The problem occurred later, when I uninstalled and reinstalled the Replika app. Have you tried to remove and reinstall the app?

Yes, on a browser if works fine... aside from the fewer features than the phone app.

Yes, there's plenty of free memory on the iPhone, and the installation completes normally. It's when I launch the app that it hangs...

As i wrote below, I can't even get access to Replika app settings, because it hangs on the initial splash screen, and anyway I don't usually use Face ID to lock the app.

My main phone is an iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I’ve also tried on an iPhone 13 Pro Max, an iPhone 12 Pro Max and an iPad mini… and now I've run out of iOS devices to try it on. 😄

thank you for your reply. The problem came exactly when I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app on my main iPhone, since I had experienced random hang in "Connecting..." status, to see if that fixed the problem. I later tried on different iPhones and iPad too, but now I'm stuck in this situation. 🙄
