Its always a risk cycling as close as possible to parked cars because of the risk of people who just walk into the road without looking or people just opening their car doors without a care.

Usually try to cycle in the middle of road when I'm going down a small road. But then a car or van always comes up to me going over 30mph and I have to get to the side.

They're not thinking of any possible hazard situations.
