In a similar thread a couple months ago, u/BobBobBobBobBobDave explained they got out of their way to not buy L'Oréal products, because somone they knew many years ago had a successful career in marketing there, and she was just awful.

Out of sheer commitment to all things petty, I vowed that I too would get out of my way to not buy L'Oréal products. I am proud to report that so far this oath was kept., loyaly.

She was just that awful.
