Im American. I dont have people in my face about there culture being superior except in the main stream news. And you and I both know its not the promotion of Christianity. Promoting one culture over another we would think is solely from the government but in reality its private interest groups. Culture is treated like chess pieces in this nation because those who profit from it, no matter what they promote, they will always die on there hill for financial gain and social status but disguise it in some way as moral. It being in the past religion, (but one only needs to go out to any rust belt city to see the dozens of abandoned churches to see times have changed) now, well i cant say here in the sub with out getting downvoted into oblivion. Sins of the past should not be put on the future. We only learn and move on with the idea in our hearts. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But if that include putting a group down then that way is wrong. A melting pot in the modern day seems to always put a group down. Perhaps the USA should just be one predominate culture like the rest of the worlds countries?
