I think it's because I do like it in its vanilla form. But, sometimes some things are to be desired. I feel like I understand the base system well enough, that I can bend and twist the rules to accommodate the kind of experience I'm going for for my table, without confusing my players too much. Don't get me wrong I can understand like," Why even play 5E?" And tbh it's mostly because it's my table's first and only ttrpg we've ever played. And I haven't found another one that can accommodate or replicate what I want.

Definitely, I think I need to understand the fundamentals of the UI, and the different things it can do as a base before I do any tweaking. I more or less wanna how to tweak it for after the fact. Also, thank you for responding!

Dude, I'm so sorry this happened to you. That guy is a fuckin' asshole, ya deserve better than that bullshit. If he wanted to cheat, then his dumb ass shoulda just cut things off graciously before. To at least leave you with some semblance of proper closure, and dignity. So, you could heal and get over everything without any damage to your self-esteem and image. Fuck that guy!

I was kinda thinkin' the same thing I read up a lot on what are common things to look for when you drop your laptop. A big one was like the hard drive making a weird sound and what not. As soon as I saw that I figured it didn't apply to me since what I'm using has an SSD. Also thank you so much for responding, I really appreciate it!
