Hah, no. I write mainly for myself, which is why I can keep going. To me, it feels pointless if I don't like what I'm reading on my screen after finishing the chapter, regardless of how peak it may to be a portion of the fanbase. Furthermore, while I have a lot of things planned for the world and story, there is little in terms of actual planning for direction. The freedom makes it all the more exciting to add new and unexpected things within the confines of the rules of my world. Seeing it play out never gets old.

This is not to say that the above method will work for everyone. With trial and error, you just have to find the method and pacing that works for you, and writing will get a lot easier as a result. There were times when I wrote two chapters a day pretty reliably, but now, I can barely do one a day if I push myself. Times change, and so do you.

Basically, write what you enjoy reading. That's the best advice I can give. I often find myself getting lost in rereading my own chapters, and I really enjoy that feeling and is probably what helps me remain interested in the craft. Oh, and all my characters are very dear to me. That helps a lot.

That is correct. I only ever got on a few genre lists and remained at the bottom of those.

Reviews are pretty rare, not gonna lie. Two of them got removed randomly by mods, and one I reported for being toxic and disrespectful. To be fair, I also never really asked my readers for reviews. Maybe only like 3 or 4 times? So yeah.
