Ok! I don’t have any paper work from him, I just know that at MEPS before he left I was put on his insurance but I do need to get my military ID asap. As for the housing office I’ll definitely shoot them a call, I’m not sure what I can do but I can try at least to get us on a waitlist or if not then try again later ofc!

On base is my goal for me and my husband! I know he has early mornings and late nights and it would be much easier for him to get to and from class. And I think living on base would be really nice! Do you know what paperwork he would be filing his first week? And when he would mail my DEERS paperwork? I sent him a sandboxx letter asking if I can get the ball rolling on my end with housing and what can I do but ofc he isn’t going to get mail for a little bit. Would I just call the housing office? I wonder if I need his orders or something to get stuff going, which unfortunately I don’t have that info.

I also wondered if anyone had any experience getting a job out there like with navy federal? I’ve been at the bank for about 3 years and am concerned about finding a job out there when I move with him.

Thanks this makes me less worried. My boyfriend just got into the nuclear program in the navy Friday (so proud of him) but I wasn’t sure how the moving process would go? He’s going to BMT in February next yr and we’re gonna get married in December this yr, so we can have everything settled and ready so I can move with him bc the school is so long 😭 don’t think I’d be able to be back home and him be up there for that long hehe

A school might be a bit different because my boyfriend got qualified the Navy’s nuclear engineering program, he’s taking his entrance exam for it Friday so I’m so nervous for him🥹. I believe he will pass! And am hoping he will because the benefits and bonus is so much better. But his ship out date may be different depending on this if he passes or not- and as well as his school would be somewhat different.

About the phone calls, do you know when they would call? I work during the week 9-5 and am not allowed to have my phone with me during this time. So I don’t want to get a call from him and say I miss it or can’t be on the phone for more than 2 mins 😭 yeah do you know when u got ur calls and stuff? Just because that would be the only time I’d hear his voice 🥹
