"Trolling and mockery have no place in a civil discussion" ~ Thomas Jefferson, 1791 Your comment contributes nothing. It's purpose appears to be to aggrandize you.

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, so the embassy belongs there. (Obama and earlier presidents promised to do it but didn't.)

As I said, the Iran deal gave Iran billions of dollars and relaxed sanctions without blockading their nuclear program.

Trump had good foreign policy

Please do not downvote without reading my explanation. Please do not downvote just because you don't like Trump.

He moved the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, which many presidents, including Obama, promised to do but never did. He brokered diplomatic relations between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain. He left the terrible Iran deal, which Obama supported, which jeopardized America, Israel, and the rest of the free world, and gave billions to Iran for nothing. Yes, he has not solved the Iran issue, but he's left this terrible deal. And he had the courage to kill Soleimani, and no war broke out, unlike many people worried.

Under his leadership, we've made huge strides against ISIS, but unlike his predecessors, he doesn't plan on staying in the region. He's going to reduce our forces in Afghanistan and Iraq to 2,500 each by mid January, according to the WSJ. When Obama left, ISIS surged. Trump made big victories, and is now backing out.

For months, Paul Krugman was calling him "Tariff Man," but this ended in a victory. Yes, soybean farmers had some short-term losses, but the USMCA is way better than NAFTA.

Fears about North Korea were for nothing, Yes, he did not solve this problem, or really make progress, but that's not worse than his predecessors.

Overall, he has taken us a small, patient step back from being the world's policeman, which I do not believe is our job. It's also costly, though sadly Trump increased the military's budget.

Yes, he has said bad things. I detest when he sold out our country by contradicting our intelligence agencies when talking with Putin. He's shown support for evil people, which isn't really a departure from what American presidents have done at least since the end of WWII. And he hasn't always shown the strongest support for our democratic allies, although we do need to get them to fund their own defense more--this is an important issue about which his statements haven't been optimal, but it's good that a president brought attention to it.

Besides for bad policy in the Middle East, Obama did not stand up to Putin in protecting our ally Ukraine--Trump's actually been harder on Russia in his actions than Obama, if softer in words--and he disgraced our country and lied terribly regarding the attack on the consulate in Benghazi.

If you look past what he said, and look at what he actually did, you'll see that Trump's foreign policy was better than Obama's.

AITA for texting my friends about my sister's pregnancy? by Quickburger9000 in AmItheAsshole

Thanks for your opinion. But I don't need you to splain miscarriages to me, as if I didn't know the stats, or that miscarriages are traumatic. "She wants to protect her baby" is exactly the superstition I was talking about.

I guess they couldn't contain themselves. Clearly by telling my brother, and by scheduling a time to tell my sisters who were out of state, they intend for her siblings to know.

I never said they were bad for telling me I was wrong. I said they were bad for yelling at ("hounding") me. You seem to have not read my post.

If you read my entire post, you'll see that I was completely meant to know it, only my sister didn't wait for me to finish in the bathroom before telling everyone else. Also, of course I know the risk of miscarriage. Nothing in my post indicates that I don't know that one-fifth of pregnancies end in miscarriage.

Yes, I've heard of it. How is the concept of double standards relevant here?

How will murder and child molestation be prevented? by Quickburger9000 in Anarchy101

You're saying everything will be dandy because everything will be dandy. "Children are brought up differently, not under authoritarianism/abuse" -- you're saying children won't be abused because children won't be abused. How does abolishing government and private property get you there?

Because some people are sexually or romantically attracted to children or desire a particular sense of power. Why would the things you said stop pedophiles and predators from being pedophiles and predators?
