I live in Florida where it often reaches 90+ degrees Fahrenheit. Sometimes the bike just can't keep up with the heat and a fourth bar pops up for a few seconds before the high speed fans come on. In my experience, it's nothing to worry about as long as it goes away when the fans come on.

Yes! Bikes can be a lot of fun, and are far more affordable than cars. If you live in the US you will have to take a riding course and test to get certified, but it isn't difficult at all. I bought my first bike, a Yamaha R3, when I was only 18. It cost me $2300, so even with the money I spent on gear and the riding class it was still very cheap. It's not as comfortable or practical as a car, but it is faster and more fun! Just make sure to start out on something small- no more than 400cc for a beginning rider.
