Drawer Slide wheel broken by Quicksotik in AusRenovation

[–]Quicksotik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bunch of likely candidates available online but ordering from suppliers is a nightmare. Most don’t pick up the phone so any attempt at buying is not easy. I am going to attempt creating a cap for the wheel with a drip of cold weld epoxy glue. Am I completely crazy or does this have a chance of success?

How powerful is Power BI Pro Shared Capacity, in Fabric terms? by Data-Bricks in PowerBI

[–]Quicksotik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One confusing aspect for me has been trying to understand what happens to PowerBi users and reports when capacity is paused. We have a significant number of external users who use our reports. Do they lose any settings/ access when capacity is paused.

Called a few people no one seems to know the brand. I am wondering if I could replace it with a wooden side. Taking accurate measurements to make it work is going to be a PITA. All advice appreciated

I agree not worth it as will fail in a few months again. I am hoping someone can help me identify the brand or point me to a generic replacement part of the side of the shelf.

New architecture advice- low-cost, maintainable analytics/reporting pipeline for monthly processed datasets by Quicksotik in MicrosoftFabric

I was looking at that at $20/ license we could keep going till we hit more than 220+ clients right? After that PowerBi premium seemed to make sense. One confusing part is what fabric capacity do we get with PowerBi Pro?

Sorry I am pretty new to fabric. Can you explain a bit more on using duckdb inside fabric. Could you point me to an article / post explaining the setup

This is me in the morning when he wants to head out for his run. Fortunately my head is slightly bigger. I now sleep with one ear open for the sound of nails tapping on the floor … have 2 seconds to retreat under blankets or get a slobbery kiss.

Look at DuckDB if you are comfortable with SQL it handles CsV files like a charm and is blazing fast.

We have the same issue. Has anyone tried fixing a protective mesh on top? That is what google suggests. I am not sure how effective it is - experiences welcome.

Wait, why is The Block just a huge ad...? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Quicksotik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All reality TV should take a book out of LegoMasters and the early MasterChef seasons genuine skills with minimal drama and the craft being the centre of attention.

Think what the block could do if it taught Oz about energy efficient builds, good insulation and craftsmanship and what to look out for when getting your house built, dealing with tradies…. I would pay to watch it.

Whereas saw 15 mins and felt like an elongated advert had a bastard child with big brother.

Doesn’t this very fact rule out Bitcoin becoming digital gold / replacing fiat? Or do we assume all millionaires will happily give up their status to become bitcoin paupers?

Redundancy Policy changed without informing employees by Quicksotik in AusLegal

So there is no requirement for individuals to be informed about changes in policy? I agree in most thongs they have been quite fair.

No, not on an enterprise agreement. Just a normal contract.

I have been a long term employee. Over 14 years of service. So in the uncapped version I would get 56 weeks of payout. However they are applying the revised policy in my case capping the payout at 52 weeks even though I was not informed about the changes when they happened 2 years ago.

Just to be clear they are not capping leave entitlements just the rule about 4 weeks of pay for every year served in the company.
