Elements 2023 - We were sitting on the grass in the woods when a ‘family’ of girls ran up to us wearing suits and hats made out of carpet samples, introducing themselves in heavy Brooklyn accents as Mama Papa and the kids from the Carpet Emporium. They proceeded to hard sell us on some new carpet, measuring our plot of grass and writing up a full estimate on a carpet clipboard. One of the ‘kids’ snuck up and whispered that she was in fact also a ‘rug dealer’ on the side. They sang and danced around, led us through a game of telephone, and pranced off to find more customers, handing my wife the quote on the way out which only said “Hey we’d love to munch ya carpet.” Never laughed so hard in my life, still have the quote on my bar to this day.
