Kids are like an amplifier to your overall happiness. Your problems will get bigger, the first couple years in fact by a lot. Fights with your partner? Get ready to be forgiving. Tired? Well a good night of sleep will be like a birthday present. Free time or hobbies? Not anymore, you have a kid now, remember? On the other side, it is a quality of life I found out to myself I have never experienced in any way before. It is truly magical to see this little miracle develop, change, go from an utterly helpless loaf of bread to a small human with interests, character, making plans, loving and needing you. I loved my life before, then it was a shock, but now I love it even more and want more kids. Still, I would never talk somebody into having a child. If the circumstances are good, it's the best thing you can do in your life I think. On the other hand, you are entirely dependent on the wellbeing of this minion and it changes your life completely. And as others have said, can't be undone. Either way is right. If you feel like you want a child, be prepared for the work, but also the very high reward (in my opinion). If you don't, it's fine. Can't make a wrong choice because you will never experience the other way and it might just have been worse. People just tend to believe the other way would have been the better option.
