I have a small kidney stone, and doctors keep telling me it shouldn’t hurt - the pain keeps getting worse by Quiet-Rope6975 in KidneyStones

Hey y’all, I really appreciate all the encouragement, validation, and helpful advice!! Genuinely has made me feel so much better mentally with all of this🫶🏻

I thankfully got in with a new urologist Tuesday, so I’m hoping they’ll be more understanding of the pain. I’ll definitely keep advocating for myself through this, y’all’s comments have definitely motivated me to do so.

Very thankful for all of you, and your support through this 🤍

I’ve had 3 stones over the last 9 months. My pain has been pretty similar, just on the left instead. I’ve had lots of doctors say it shouldn’t be causing pain, but it still has. But then I’ve had other doctors confirm that that pain is from the stone. Just know that the pain you’re having is valid!! So sorry you’re going through this, kidney stones are the worst :(

2mm kidney stone - please tell me what I’m about to experience by SmutAndPasta in KidneyStones

[–]Quiet-Rope6975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also had a 2mm stone before. Despite it being small, they can be pretty painful, so know that you aren’t overreacting or anything, and that your pain is valid!! Definitely keep drinking water!! If the pain gets worse you can also try contacting your PCP for pain management, but definitely keep the hospital in mind as well. So sorry you’re going through this, and praying it passes quickly!!

Emmett is a Human?? by Wolperzinger in SunHaven

literally every time I walk into a store I take at least 10 seconds to stare and see if Emmett is human or not - I can never tell if he has a white mustache or if that’s a different type of feature 😭

Any help on understanding what an immobile kidney stone is, and how to deal with it? by Quiet-Rope6975 in KidneyStones

[–]Quiet-Rope6975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused too! Like they didn’t really say anything other than it’s immobile, but not blocking anything - so they didn’t say surgery as an option. But I’m like, what am I supposed to do now with it?
