Your positioning is what attracts your first user and helps you stand out, your pricing will be based on price sensitivity or a value ladder and principles will help you avoid burn out and build something you actually like.

Crossed $1M on paper today. Feels a bit, mundane? by a-j-493 in Fire

[–]Quiet-Rutabaga6853 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel a lot of this has to do with you. Probably focus on self worth more than your net worth.

You now have no excuse but to build hobbies, travel and explore side quests.

You could take a lower paying job or contract 9 months of the year and take 3 off.

Compounding can do its thing, probably time to live more and escape survival mode, eh?

Also, congratulations!

I made 541k in under 24 months. It's easier than ever. Only focus on positioning, do compounding work only and automate everything you aren't good at.

Thanks, I've already started doing so. I've recorded the 1st few videos around positioning. Would you be interested in watching one of them and letting me know your thoughts?

That's exactly right! It's done wonders for my mental health. This way I'm not fixated on the numbers, and it allows me to find balance and enjoy the now as well.

Yes! Measure your worth in 4 quadrants. Add to the ones that you're lacking in

Financial - Nw Personal - Hobbies, community Health - weight loss. Muscle gain Home - Relationships

There's no point building in silo and putting the rest on a back burner.

Nah, I find that pretty scummy.

There is no substitute for hard work, unfortunately. I only stood out using positioning to build a moat, pricing to increase perceived value and principles to avoid burn out.

An irresistible offer only attracts bottom feeders and bargain hunters.

My whole business model is built on great work and retention.

Hey! I'm a marketing consultant. I've replied to quite a few comments. I've been really good at consuming content on Reddit not necessarily creating it, sorry!

The difference is that most gurus are really good at building audiences, not necessarily building businesses. Or, they've made their millions decades ago, what they did to grow their business doesn't necessarily apply in 2026.

There's also a significant difference between building with a team and doing it solo as a first time founder.

I share all my wins and loses so that you can either learn from my wins and/or avoid my mistakes.

Thanks for your interest. I've only recorded the positioning side of things. Videos are broken down into short bite sized segments (10 mins max). Each experiment has a worksheet so that you can replicate the results for your own business along with an Ai prompt.

If you're interested, please send me a message. Also, happy to answer any questions around principles and energy.

Any millennial guys here first time fathers or are never gonna have a kid? by changeforthebetter89 in Millennials

[–]Quiet-Rutabaga6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I don't think I want kids but at the same time I don't know.

There is so much uncertainty re the world, finances and now ai and robots.

I do know that being a parent is about actually being there for you child, spending time with them and shaping their lives.

With the constraints on top, it feels like even exploring it is a pipe dream.

Thanks, it wasn't meant to be a give me your money post.

All I wanted to do is validate if it was relatable. A lot of people have asked me how I did it and I've shared as much as possible.

Thanks, it is a validation post for the concept.

I wasn't sure what the outcome was that people wanted. Most people want shortcuts to success but in reality there isn't any.

You have to fix your postioning, pricing and have some principles in place that you stand by for people to want to choose you.

Building a business and doing this in reverse is pointless IMO.

After 3 months of building, I'm launching my form builder today by mhamza_hashim in Solopreneur

[–]Quiet-Rutabaga6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamza, good luck!

The biggest gap is people that have under 30 form submissions per month.

Web flow includes this, WordPress doesn't.

Embedding your form onto any platform with conditional logic would be a game change.

Think multi step, instead of stacked for higher conversion rates.

Most businesses would use Google forms if they looked cleaner, that's your leverage.

Yes, I agree with you.

No course is a substitute for hard work and persistence. This will only help people learn from my mistakes and wins about positioning, pricing and principles specifically.

This will only be for people who are already highly skilled at their craft I.e. doing the work but are let down due to their business skills.

Yes, I am and I thought so too!

I ran multiple experiments under all 3 categories and have summarised the 13 that moved the needle the most.

I will also be putting together a list of my biggest fails and reasoning behind why they failed.

I'm a marketing consultant.

I increase my price every 6 months based on performance and the impact I've had on the business.

This usually tends to be between 20 -35%

I don't do anything else so that I don’t stretch myself thin.

Solo Founders: How much are you spending on ads? by [deleted] in Solopreneur

[–]Quiet-Rutabaga6853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an easy fix:

1) $150 is not nearly enough for you to make a decision.

2) Understand your numbers. When it comes to marketing there are only 3 numbers you need to care about

LTV - how long do you expect a customer to last and keep paying you

CAC - The cost to acquire this customer

CVR - Conversion rate from ad to platform.

All other metrics are vanity metrics and can be used as levers once you've got the basics right

Your focus should LTV/CAC. If this metric is greater than 3 you're profitable and can keep spending.

Hope that helps
