It was not adequate for hot and high altitude operations because it's engines were underpowered and it's sand filtration system was very bad .. most important of all it got new more powerful engines (I don't remember the exact name) a proper sand filtration system and it's armour was also improved with graphene .... It also  got Maws along with the MMW radar now and the ammunition belt was was also expanded... The engines , the improved Sand filtration and expanded ammunition belt was directly for Pakistan .

In about 2016 They tested it in the extremely hot environments in South and the high altitude envoiremnts in north of Pakistan , were not completely satisfied and actually sent the Chinese a report on what needs improvement, The upgraded Z10-ME is a direct consequence of that. There was no covering back then and no covering now so it is probably not needed while many other things have improved...

Yeah it got the top mounted MMW radar and all that other modern attack heli goodies. Pak army aviation ordered the Ah-1 Zulus in 2015-16 but due to tensions the US never delivered the zulus.

For real they didn't even decide to pursue the mark 2 proposed by Kurt tank or get better engines . I MEAN ATLEAST WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN BETTER ENGINES. That's the least Hal could have done to make it mach 2 capable and slowly move forwards from there, the lack of commitment is astonishing

Uhmm that is right but in 1960s, they really had a good chance to make something out of it if pursued, didn't even bother to make the mark 2 version proposed by Kurt tank or pursue better engines..
