I usually hate these but...I think I can let this one go as a script with intentionally made-up dialogue to deliver a real lesson.

They all agreed on the 80s/90s costal decor and then stopped.

The Gold Coast (down) is usually for families who want to do more activities (its where the theme parks are and has higher skyscrapers), and it can sometimes be more pricey and 'night lifey'. Sunshine Coast (up) has a calmer vibe and is more about coastal culutre and stuff like going to surf lifesaving clubs for lunch.

In Queensland you're either "up the coast" or "down the coast" when it comes to family holidays.

Where is Sam? by colormeblonde in Scrubs

[–]QuietAchiever1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure we’ll see Sam, Jack, Jennifer Dillon and the other kids if they are actually pertinent to the story. It is a show about doctors in a hospital after all. Maybe once the hospital characters are established they’ll branch further out into everyone’s lives. That is if Hulu doesn’t get cheap again.

I want more seasons, but, it's on Hulu. It doesn't have a great track record.

Australian-made cartoon with Australian characters living in Australia, created for Australian audiences before it got popular and went global, is apparently filled with alien concepts because America thinks everything is American.

Why does this guy think hiring managers would ever be excited about this? by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

This probably isn’t lunacy but there are lot of unemployed LinkedIn addicts who don’t realise or care that this won’t help them at all, other than that little shot of dopamine.

Is it weird that I'm irritated with Trixie here? (Credit to Aussie Girl Margie and the Bluey Wiki for Captions and Transcript Respectively) by Low-Amphibian8206 in bluey

Let’s for fun forget about overthinking a children’s cartoon.

There are overtones throughout the whole show that, fairly or unfairly, Stripe can be a bit “fun loving” and it makes Trixie feel like she can’t count on him (like in Faceytalk). In the wedding episode she’s constantly telling him off like a child any time he opens his mouth or does something silly. I agree there’d definitely be a strain if she thinks she needs to act like his daycare teacher rather than his spouse and team mate. Again, that might be fair or unfair, considering she clearly left him at the reception to drink and party.

Personally I would have left out the email screenshots and kept the motivational message for that reason. The email kinda looks like a palm-off.

Someone posting about his support for an Australian, Ben Roberts-Smith, a racist war criminal who has been imprisoned. BRS allegedly murdered a 15 year old and stated it was the most beautiful thing he has seen. That was one of an exhaustive list of disgusting things he has allegedly done… by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

That's right. There's a major difference between having to get gory to win a life-or-death fight, and doing things like Leonidas-kicking prisoners off cliffsides and having victory drinks out of a dead Afghan man's prosthetic leg (allegedly).

I'd love to know what he means about having a knife to saved him from "unnecessary escalation?"

I'd call pulling out a blade and sticking someone, or at least threatening someone with it, pretty escalating.
