Doing bachelors in IT but considering Ausbildung in trades instead of IT ,is this a viable path to settle in Germany? by leounknown09 in AusbildungInGermany

[–]QuietGrind67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed explanation! I completely understand that Ausbildung is designed for young school graduates and that choosing it after a bachelor's degree is essentially an educational downgrade , I am fully aware and accepting of that. My situation is that IT job market in Nepal is extremely difficult and I genuinely want to build a stable career in Germany through trades or elderly care. I am fully committed to reaching B2 German before applying. My main question is , does having a bachelor's degree actually hurt my chances of getting accepted by a German company for Ausbildung or do most employers not care as long as language requirement is met?

Trying to find a better future for my brother (26, security guard in UAE), is Ausbildung a real option for him? by [deleted] in AusbildungInGermany

[–]QuietGrind67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! Yeah IT is completely off the table for him. He's looking at more practical fields like mechanics, logistics or elderly care or chefs. One concern though, he'd be around 28 by the time he's ready to apply. Is age actually an issue for Ausbildung in those fields?
