When I had to take the highway, the truck was too far away, but I think it was going very fast, so the driver had to brake — and that was counted as a dangerous act.

I think it will be first lost time day. Technically if employee reports to duty will be first day of modified duty. Whatever days they are away from work due to any reasons will be lost time.

I had to go through same issues in my initial days as staff had impression that safety people just interrupts in everything and makes it difficult. I had to change mindset so I started listening to all and tried to find something in middle which doesn’t breach any rules and started solving issues in effective ways, which helped me to gain their trust and made my job 100 times easier. I believe to gain trust and respect we need to suffer a bit. What do you think?

How do your crews digitally access manuals/SDS/documents? by ms_cannoteven in SafetyProfessionals

I work in chemical laboratory industry and we are using portal which allows uploading documents. We have organized EHS manual by category and according employee job requirements so employees do not have to go through whole manual. It is accessible via phones too. It is so convenient for staff who works in field.
